Caught up and can't have enough of this!!

THIS IS SO COOL, TURTLE ME! THANK YOU FOR CREATING ANOTHER GREAT CHAPTER!

I feel that even the scythe is a little warry of Arthur and maby even try to be by his side as he chenges the world and wipes out the so called deities in order to secure peace on dicathin and even alacrya

this was freaking fire man, such a good chapter

Cecilia was referred to as the legacy and was was prone to exponential growth in her first life. Reincarnated with the ability to utilise mana and continuously grow stronger possibly infinitely... That makes her a weapon of apocalyptic destruction.

Random Person A

Reminds me of how ta'veren are viewed in the wheel of time.

ShadowPillow

I think Cecilia, the "legend". I'd almost hope it's Sylvia though... but it's been too long. I think it has to do with the reincarnation Agrona had been after for so long.

When it refers to agrona ‘only having eyes for her’ and all this about reincarnation, maybe it’s hinting to the return of sylphia ?

Yeeeeeeeeeessssss!! This is the type of chapter I've been waiting for! Thank you TurtleMe

Lindsay DeHerrera

Ah so Seris realized Arthur is the main character lmao

FeyOne

I was thinking the exact same thing as I read it.

Lena Warren

What an awesome chapter!! Thank you!

Demian Buckle

Thank you for the Chapter.

This is such a great build up chapter! I am super excited to keep reading. Thank you!

Chris

Nice Work!

That was a amazing chapter prob 1 of the best it didn’t have much action but it explains why our boy grey will win but the question is what does siythe sceris want what is her goali understand she dose t want to rule the world but she seems like a bad guy maybe and I think she wants to be able to make Arthur the perfect king or something because the world raps around him I geuss

Windsom has no chance against aldir. It would need to be his own clan killing him, or kezess himself.

R.Ed

"For generations, we have worked to make sure Dicathen could fight back against Agrona, but they have failed." Lol, must have been some insanely lazy work.

TheAsianspice

I read the whole series in the span of about a week... I'm so sad to be basically caught up. But this world, the magic, and world building are amazing. I can't wait to read more!

This has been one of the best chapters since Art came to Alacrya, hands down. Even though Art isn't in it (directly), I love the world building aspects, especially the insights into Seris and how she feels about this whole affair. This was awesome.

Just want to point out that the description given for how world eater works matches that of a nuclear bomb from my understanding.

Procionearighe

For me, this was the best chapter I’ve ever read so far. Really nice work!

Breamson 𒉭

I wouldn't in interpret as fate, but more as describing him as a god. Like this sounds like he is the one true god of this world

Homer L Sanchez

Tha last bit was literally the best line in the entire novel. Loved it.

Arthur naturally attracts attention, He has to actively try to not be noticed, and even that (as we saw before he met alaric) doesn’t really work too well. His personality, his looks, his strength, his history in alacrya up until now, all of it generates attention towards him as seen by that other teacher he met in the school.

As much as I thought this was a fun/well written plot development, and its nice to better understand some of Seris' motivations (stopping the asuras from destroying everything in their games), I think its incredibly unlikely that Grey would stumble upon someone (Caera who just happens to be mentored by Seris...) who knows him so quickly since Alacrya is supposed to be a really big place with lots of people... Then Seris, conveniently happens to want to push Arthur back into the fight before he is ready... As much as I enjoy the series, story and plot twists, Seris discovering Arthur in Alacrya so quickly is statistically improbable, and as a math person, that is tough for me to handle. TurtleMe, I say this in the most respectful way possible, please don't force Arthur/Grey into interacting with the Sythes, Asuras, etc. quickly because its convenient for the plot. If you do so, please do it in a way that is believable (not a statistically improbable event), and not a forced plot device. Realistically, Arthur/Grey with the help of Alric should be able to live and prepare for his fight with the Asuras unnoticed as long as he wants to before he chooses to reveal himself. Given Arthur's two lives and Alric's help, there is almost no way he should get caught unless he wants to be. All that said, I do really enjoy the story, and I am looking forward to what happens next.

currently im pretty sure art is more powerful now (not including the last fight between the scythe and Nico) but he's only just started scratching the surface of his atheric abilities so he can grow exponentially more powerful. im pretty sure at arts current abilities he can beat most retainers and mabey he can beat a weak scythe

Polyester Bandit

THIS CHAPTER WAS AMAZING!!! maybe someone can tell me, is arthur more powerful wiht the aether core or with his mana core?

Caera did specifically call it aether though, and as far as we know nobody but the Indraths and the Djinns can even see aether (let alone Seris) so I presume she actually meant mana. Even more likely since she hasn't seen Arthur after he forged his aether core.

Poltak

in that last para, did Seris actually mean aether? i'm sure she must have heard everything from Caera already, could Caera also have mistaken aether for mana?

She might be the last obstacle? Maybe im over thinking that she will use arthur for whatever grand plan she has. Didnt the diviner say like “ a person without nothing to lose is the most dangerous? “

Mana represents water, aether is a cup. Well more like a law, which holds almost everything. Law/divinity.

My money would be on that as well, it would be interesting to see a different take on mana manipulation than the usual core based one, even tho I must say that the way Turtle handled elemental magic, particularly during the training Art went through in the flying castle arc, is a welcome breath of fresh air. It would be interesting to see how it plays out with a different rule system like the one aether based mana manipulation could provide.

Aya Ryuo

i think that since aether is the cup that holds mana in this world (i may be wrong on that im just pretty sure i read that) i think arthur will be able to manipulate mana again with aether...maybe

I agree with you to an extent, but I think 300 chapters of Arthur purifying his mana core and the build up for him to harness all the deviants, is not something you can just throw out the window.

Droxs 魔

It’s kinda of annoying seeing people comment stuff like “why can’t Arthur just reform his mana core?” When it’s not possible for him to wield it anymore, plus aether has limitless potential with literally endless amounts of god runes where as with mana he is limited to the 4 elements. It would be nice if people could accept the fact that Arthur can no longer wield mana or forge a mana core

Droxs 魔

Romance is only a sub plot and right now isn’t important to the story at all

But seris did mention that he needed a push, meaning it will probably be cut short or not long at all, as he needs to go back to the relic tombs to get stronger

I’m in awe of the fact that we’re getting another academy arc. I know that it’s the typical isekai trope but really? Two academy arcs?

Axle1337

Yessss Soo good

Chris Chelette

10mins at most for some😥

I do like Seris as she is about the only Agronian that seems to understand this war but if she wants Grey to turn this all around then she needs to approach him directly instead of moving in the shadows. No matter the cause, people do not like being treated as puppets and once they find who is pulling the strings the "I did it for the good of the world" excuse no longer matters. If she wants to survive to see the end of this war she needs to take the plunge and pick a side.

i’m pretty sure the aether core was built off of the mana cores remnants. so if he wanted a new mana core it would a completely separate, completely new core when there didn’t exist one before; hence way different from what he did as a kid

This is one of my favorite chapters that are from someone other than arthurs pov. This was genuinely great

I think the next chapter will be Virions pov.

Meer

amazing ch

K I need to get this off my chest and hear someone else opinion tess needs to be fixed. Why? because ive spent over 50 chapters on tess and arts relationship and for this to be all thrown away because of a character I've barley read about I feel like I'm wasting my time dear god I just want to know I haven't wasted my time. (Edit) I have a solution Harem solved.

levi aclao

And I think since Arthur has the basic knowledge on 4 elements he will not have a hard time on mastering 4 deviants as well. Imagine arthur casting a spell and adura cant absorb or destroy it nor counter it because theres a shield of aether protecting that spell from any counter asura or enemy has for it. It will add more flexibility on how Arthur will fight.

Arthur Leywin. Arthur Leywin. Arther Leywin. It's so good to finally hear his name again. It feels like so long ago that he was in Dicathen.

Now that I think about it mana was described to be in a container and everything, the container and outside that container is aether so if Arthur has the container he should have influence over mana. Maybe I’m overthinking this but Arthur should be able to form a new mana core easier because of his aether. I think he will also be able to remove the impurities in the mana faster because of aether.

I think it is about to happen. Arthur will reform his mana core soon. And when he does the mana will start to follow him giving him a new insight on fate.

Ebube Bakosi

One thing I am struggling with. Arthur was able to create a mana core as an infant. Why can’t he do it again and have two cores? This may be the result of my indulgence of the cradle series by will wright. But we both a mana core and an aether core. Arthur would truly rival the gods.

Varday Jacobs

I got a feeling Aldir gonna die protecting the humans now🤦🏾‍♂️🤦🏾‍♂️ and it might be Winsdom that kills him

Ezra

It’s a good thing you wrote this just in case someone’s paying to read the comments instead of the chapter.

Jacob S

We’ve learned a lot in this chapter! Let’s recap the highlights: •Aldir has doubt in Lord Indrath •Aldir hadn’t recognized Arthur’s gaze via Relic •Seris doesn’t know why Arthur is at the Academy/searching Relictombs - although we know it’s because he needs to learn the Fate edict - and this act of telling Aldir (while furthering her plans) will force Arthur to have to speed up his ascents. •Cecilia’s reincarnation is confirmed - we can assume she is being trained to be Agrona’s strongest puppet •Windsom is meeting Virion to placate the remaining Dicathen people •The asuras will hear of Arthur’s survival I also like how Seris describes Arthur at the end there. Her statement is only made truer, as he can now control more than just mana, the fabric of the world itself- aether.

Vinicius Figueiredo Rodrigues

same here in the last sentence haha

Moosey

Loved this chapter it was amazing thanks alot

Great chapter. Really love your writing style.

Jason

That last sentence was the coldest thing I’ve ever read in my life. Awesome work as always

finally know seris's motives she wants to live and knows if either agrona or lord indrath get there way she will die but if arthur wins she will live

If possible could Aldir have sensed how powerful Arthur truly was cause his words ( could be he was never spied in before) make it seem like Arthur was stonger than what we had originally thought? Also seris could sense mana was being moved or controlled by Arthur without him even knowing/trying. Could that be somewhat linked to Fate?

Bastian Cole

Arthur's gonna strip Indrath and Agrona of any power they think belongs to them. Bet that the world itself reincarnated Grey for this purpose to stop both from toying with it.

This was amazing

Nikusha Khmaladze

Can't wait for the academy arc to pick up pace! Great work Turtle!

Gavin

Best chapter I’ve read in a while

Ezra

The hairs on the back of my neck and arms were standing up while I read this.

TBATE Account1

I can’t wait to see how things play out with Arthur now that the Asura will soon know he’s still alive. I always suspected Seris was up to something

Jon Chefitz

I'm sure that Art will eventually find a way to turn her back to Tess

Rocco Mangiaterra

Nice to see a rather human side of Aldir..

David Rafael Tamir

I got shivers throughout the chapter

Ezekiel2517

I think Caera's supposed to be a teaching assistant but looks like Scythe Seris isn't willing to wait for that. Love her passion and desire for change but we need our boy to learn about Fate in the Relictombs

Carth

Till next Friday ;~;

Great chapter!

FallenFlamingos25

I cant be the only one that doesnt like the idea of cecil being in tess now right? Dont get me wrong tess has some issues she needs to sort through but i dont like that its cecil now. But that’s my opinion

ariel lima

I don’t usually comment, but this was the best chapter in the series so far. Thank you for the continuous hard work TurtleMe

Jon Chefitz

RIGHT, I def feel the foreshadowing that he will be able to use mana again, though honestly even if he can't the aether core is just so cool

Jon Chefitz

Its def up there with the chapter where art killed all those ascenders

Incredible chapter thank you so much turtle!!

Now we got to see a bit more of what Seris is trying to pull off. but that last sentence of chapter kinda makes me think. Will Arthur be able to use mana again after smt. Like a aether/mana fusion core or smt? or becoming a full asura?

levi aclao

Holy moly! Best chapter so far in Vol.9

Senica

The way I squealed like 5 times. So good!!

Love this!

HUN Zuglo

Amazing chapter! Your writing continues to improve greatly!

Nice chapter

Jon Chefitz

This chapter was absolutely amazing, it was great to get a better understanding of what Seris's thoughts are. Additionally, I for one am happy that Seris is giving Art this push, because while the school arc is gonna be fun, I'm more excited for what will come after. Also were one step closer to my favorite things in all of books or tv, where the mc who was thought to be dead is found out not to be dead. That moment where people have that holy shit look is my favorite thing. Thanks again for the chapter Turtle, and I will see everyone again next friday!

Favourite chapter

BloodStorm

Very nice chapter awesome way to progress the story without going too crazy

Brasidas

Nice build up.

God damn this was good, like total heat🔥

Antonio Camarillo

The way seris said she wants to rush him worries me about the conflicts that’ll arise when, say, he’s about to ascend to the 4th djinns place

Sam Miller

Ok I liked it

This chapter is amazing

Konomi

That was so epic. We finally see what she’s up to, what her intentions are—-my god the plot is moving Cecilia confirmed I’m gonna cry

TLDR: Aldir feels remorseful for destroying the elves forest, he also learns Arthur is alive and watched him destroy the elves, Nico/Elijah is a Scythe and that Cecelia is now in Tess' body, Seris has some secret plan, and that Arthur's mana could control everything around him

Hype!

Ezekiel2517

YES!!!!! this is exactly the chapter I wanted. Seris's vision and dissension within the Asura. Love it, love it! Also that comment that Aldir's eyes flew open, finally all three of them....:D

Michi

An Aldir POV? Hmmmm interesting

Radzi Hamzah

Wow!

Less goo, lets have a happy 20 minute of reading some heat

Rocco Mangiaterra

Let’s goooo
