Well, considering the vabguard is taking the big risk of attempting an infiltration, there an argument there that they get one of the big ships, but as is obvious im biased and wanna see the providence go to the vanguard, its one of the coolest ships in the series and imo fits the vanguard better than a lumbering battleship plus i dont think the rebels would wan to give up the carrier capacity and firepower that the lucre offors them, anyway ship aside i trust meta to do a good job

Fortunis

One doesn't necessarily preclude the other. Like I said, the Hulk could easily be parked as an orbital station for staging training flights as well as parking materials for the city construction. Not to mention the Lucrehulk core can land on planets and mass deploy droids since it has self contained repair facilities and rapid deployment capabilities exactly for that. Sell the Rebellion half the droids, buy a fuck load of construction droids and park the main hull in orbit while the core lands and mass drops thousands of construction droids of all kinds. Honestly there are a shit load of uses for a Hulk besides combat.

Lord Belly

You two are wild, there is no real reason for the two largest ships to go to deacon and the vanguard, as cool as they would be. Hell; I’d love for them to get at least one.. But they don’t have the manpower or resources to keep them going. The rebellion already uses CIS ships actively, even if it’s not mentioned.. They can support them, our favorite Mercs can’t. But the credits they could get.. Almost a billion? Yeah, fuck all that extra noise, NIRN is about to get a upgrade city wise

andrew rousseau

Fair, however this is a battleship variant lucrehulk as far as i can tell and the other big issue witha lucre is fuel use and unfortunately i just cant see the rebels not fighting tooth and nail for the lucrehulk. Plus with the space station the vanguard already has i feel like the provi would be more useful since the vanguard should be able to slowly relocate the station to nirn (at least i think they can might be wrong tho), also who knows we should hopefully end up finding more CIS Bases/sites to raid by combing through the new ships data logs, and as i said previously the providence is basically correlian modding level since its compartment are highly modular and even stock providence cruisers can carry 30k tons of cargo plus it has a class 1.5 hyperdrive stock, the provi is almost a light battlecruiser capable of killing what can catch it and outrunning what can kill it.

Fortunis

Maybe. But i still think it'd be more useful in the Vanguards hands. They could park it in Nirn orbit while it gets refurbished and use it as both a space station and a training base for recruiting pilots. Then they could use it for a fallback position for major Mercenary jobs. Things like planetary assaults (which is what it's designed for), system blockades or defense, all kinds of things. The difference between the Lucrehulk and Providence is one is designed solely for combat and the other is a modified bulk freighter designed to be converted for combat. They don't currently need a massive combat vessel. Deacon already said he'd be parking any further large ships till they can get crews for them. So the Lucrehulk makes more sense since he can still use it while parking it. It'd be a fantastic place to park ships and materials in orbit of Nirn while they build the city and also refit the ship for whatever they plan to use it for later. A Providence isn't really made for that.

andrew rousseau

Im not sure the rebels would be willing to give up on the lucre tho considering it is a heavy battleship capable of challenging imp stars, i could see deacon arguing for it then "allowing" himself to be haggled down to taking the providence which imo would work better as a flagship for the vanguard since it can challenge victory star destroyers while being reasonable fast rather than going for a plodding battleship, plus providence cruisers are almost correlian levels of modifieable which would make it easy to upgrade, at 2500 g acceleration its already faster than imp star, the modifications id make (if i could) would be engines bumped up equivalent to the venators 3000g, upgrade the shields to mon cal versions, as for weapons maybe double the origional armament, giving it up to 28 Quad Turblolaser batteries, 64 point defense batteries, 4 Battleship Ion cannons, 24 point defense ion cannons and 24 Mass driver flak cannons while leaveing the proton launchers alone tho since thers no hard number on how many a stock providence would have and invisible hands 102 seems excessive

Israel Perez-Rolo

Ditto to this jus Deacon stressed as hell and then he finangles the super tac Droid into the vanguard because he gave the right codes of the cuff and they just get ALL the stuff without a fight. Its like the key and peele sweat skit except it never goes wrong our guys and gals just getting dehydrated for no reason.

Duke of Coffee

Hopefully it can reach Mirrthfully book *Sublight Drive* on humanize them somewhat and reading his interactions with his Tactical Droid is the best.

Fortunis

Well fuck. With both a Providence and a Lucrehulk on the table I'm not sure which he should grab. I'm kidding. Obviously he needs to unleash Miru on the Lucrehulk. And make a play for the Providence on the side. Syndulla was said to be using a Lucrehulk as a flight training base for rebel pilots in the comics canon. If Deacon claimed it and leased it to the Rebellion in exchange for the refurbishment materials Miru requests that'd be a fair deal. He gets a custom ship and the rebels get a place to train fighter pilots. The rest of the ships are absolutely up for grabs though. Not to mention the repair yard. Good shit all around.

Duke of Coffee

Hopefully it will be so.

andrew rousseau

Yup part of the reason why i like this story so much the vanguard snagging CIS ships really nice and very much fits thier theme, provided the vanguard gets the providence then they have a potent flagship and sets them up to begin searching other sites to build up more ships for a nice little fleet for thier planet, maybe someday a recusant or Providence class dreadnought, the big ones i mean that were capable of fighting entire republic fleets, maybe they find and abandoned vennie while investigating old battlefields so many options thats its great

Lord Belly

Droids don’t get enough attention honestly, quite a few interesting characters from their pool

andrew rousseau

I would drop a 10$ dono to see the vanguard get the providence, lmao been reading too many quests with dobation pages and or bribable qms

andrew rousseau

Id prefer the providence tbh, munis and recis are fun and cool looking but a bit too fragile for my liking plus provis are immensly easy to modify and capable of challenging Victory Star destroyers more or less stock and if they can get the ships peacefully then theyd gain the ship compliments too so the provi is best choice imo, full compliment provi has 240 droid fighters- 120 vultures and 120 tri's, 1.5 million deactivated battledroids 100+ armored vehicles and apparently has a minimum crew of 30.... 30 oh and the it has battleship grade ion cannons for capturing more ships... https://cdnb.artstation.com/p/assets/images/images/036/794/431/large/jb-casacop-providenceclassdeadnought.jpg?1618627977

Thanks for the chapter

Trap or not a trap... That is the question...

good chappie

Urbane_Bomber

Great chapter. If I were Deacon, I would want one of the frigates along with droids as compensation more then anything. His new planet is still dangerously under defended.

Lord Belly

If deacon can win over that Super Tactial Droid somehow, that would be amazing. Super Tact Droids are useful in general, but giving us another unique droid companion would be awesome

Drumic

As a fan of droids, the idea of expanding that facet of the Skyforged interests me. Adding a super tactical droid to help lead the more expendable droid forces (non-Boxi forces) within the Skyforged (after any self sabotage programming has been removed) would be interesting to see, especially if the Skyforged get to own any full droid ships.

andrew rousseau

Yyyeeeessss, a provi in the repair yard, let the rebels have the lucrehulk, and all the other ships and thier compliments, while the vanguard takes the providence and its compliment

Cmols897

It would be funny if this goes just flawlessly, like so easy they are waiting for some sort of trap that just never comes so it's just Deacon being stressed for no reason
