They literally have a cure for radiation and addiction in the fallout universe and I can't think of any other universes that have cures for those afflictions.

Yggdrasil

A Starcraft 2 tech tree could help improve his power armor. Some of the variants like ghosts would be useful

Fortunis

Outstanding. Fusion technology like Fallout is somthing he can have other people replicate in the real as opposed to having to do it all himself. Even if he uses Mollymakers to print the items to be assembled it's still real world science as opposed to Elerium energy tech. I'm really looking forward to the bio science stuff. There are variations of super soldier serums in there as well as semi immortality. This is gonna be fun. I'm looking forward to the power armor.

Not the most important thing about them. It's infinite resources. Even if it's a highly nerfed version that just outputs lumps of matter and gasses in airtight chambers. Every element, every isotope of every element. Just need to crack water for hydrogen and feed it into a fusion plant for power. It's energy to matter conversion. It's The Holy Grail. Doesn't need to buy anything from anyone. No mining. No trucks going out to reclaim junk to recycle. Any type of matter needed at the price of water. While he's near the Pacific Ocean. It is the foundational technology of the corniacopia machine. The end of resource scarcity.

Ray

u could have used the fannon version of the geck that uses nanites

When you know that more than 90% of the "futuristic looking" tech/item we can actually buy are just plastic covers and RGB lights, but the interior is still set same badly smoldered electronic and glued together so it don't move low cost sh*t, I can understand the thinking "Old but Gold". My grampa still have his old car and many old equipment in his home, he can repair most of it, and it's more sturdy than any plastic crap we can now buy.. 😮‍💨

Vyktor

If I'm not wrong the Gauss rifle should be equivalent to the Mag Tech from XCom, accelerated slug using magnetic rings 🤔

The sierra madre vending machines are basically star trek replicators light all the speed but a lot less detail integrating them with the high detail low speed production already in place would greatly speed up production rate as it would allow large low complexity parts to be created in the sm tech and then allow the current tech to polish and join them together and to the high detail parts it makes greatly cutting down production times. Frankly for nanobot based production the best way to use it is have a number of smaller machines feeding parts into that larger machine wich connects them together into a finished part. This is because this production method has one major drawback the speed of production is limited by the surface area of the already printed part. This means that it follows a bell curve slow to start medium speed in the middle slow to finish and that's if you start from the centre of the part. Now it would be technically possible to print multiple parts in the same machine with them all coming together at the end but that means longer print times for the individual parts due to them having to be printed form a corner or edge so they can be held in place on the other hand smaller printers feeding a larger one don't have that problem and they would require less computing resources as instead of having to tell a single swarm of nanobots to do multiple tasks you tell multiple swarms to each do a different task

While the geck doesn't work like it does in fallout 3, the Jefferson memorial purifier is definitely in there somewhere, as well as smaller versions....

Jordan

Forget the holograms though getting them should be something of a side project at the moment his biggest bottleneck is production time he can make anything but it takes time unlike the sierra madre vending machines which are basicly instant at least for less complicated smaller items doing that at the start could allow for a little time making a new design that would make the printers better. One other thing he should go into as a side project would be the vertibird especialy the fusion powered version as that would provide a very good basis on fusion powered vehicles as well as unlock air travel stuff. Pity that because the fallout universe never goes small that he wont be able to learn the blimp stuff from fallout as having a flying aircraft carrier would be cool later in the story when he has the power to keep it.

Al

Fallout tech isn't pretty. Glad he gets to glow up that

Ironforge

The water purifier tech from fallout 3 would also be pretty crazy, as placing a unit like that in the ocean or other large bodies of water could return clean water to the world.

AlthePal

If he has time, I hope he makes a few fallout boy bobble heads. It would be a shame if he misses out on the famous icon

Elaine

good chappie

The good power armor he will make will be like the juggernauts you describe and can only go up when he starts improving them with future tech. Also, he will be working through a large breadth of the tech tree. He won't be able to do everything, but his new production capabilities will absolutely be felt. After all, he basically completed most of a branch in less than a day. Things like Big MT and Institution tech will be several branches each, but he will still get plenty of good stuff.

Robert

My favourite gun from fallout was the gauss rifle I wonder how it would compare to the weapons he has access to already

Urbane_Bomber

Love the story. I so want to see am omake where am updated Liberty Prime marches on Arasaka tower. imaging Adam Smasher getting stostomped under the boot of Capitalism is hilarious.

If you go for the power armor frames and try to do a deep dive into it, my only hope is you take more inspiration from the older Fallout titles for the way power armor acts. Check out Titans of the New West 2.0 if you want to see what I’m talking about. Power armor should be able to turn any one into a bonafide juggernaut or in this world a bootleg Smasher. Other than that though, great chapter. Makes sense to cover bases for now with all the forms of power generation, but I do hope we see a lot more of the wacky and zany crap like Big MT whole set up. He should also definitely look into the tech for the Sierra Madre holograms.

Oh man, a G.E.C.K
