🕑 Added 2025-02-15 16:26:51 +0000 UTCHello everyone! While Deacon and his crew take care of business, 4th Group is out stealing their first ship from the Empire, and you guys get to choose which one!
A couple of things to keep in mind: if not much is known about the ship, I'll make up some basic stats. Also, the idea that a large ship doesn't have a hyperdrive is dumb and tells me whoever created it has no idea how space works, so we ignore them.
Here are your options:
Option one: Guardian-class light cruiser
Option two: Lancer-class frigate
Option three: Raider-class corvette
Option four: Imperial Transport
Option five: IR-3F-class light frigate

Guardian would've been better if it was an actual cruiser. 42 meters!? That's a damn shuttle

Frankly the raider makes sense if it's a ship for one of the teams. They should however get the imperial transport eventually as that is a fairly massive ship that all ready has a massive hanger and can be modified to be a dedicated carrier fairly quickly. a true one not like the escort carriers they currently have so far

Yeah im also voting Raider. It's a fantastic first ship to build a small team around as well as being a decent sized ship to be outfitted as a command vessel for a future raiding fleet. A ship like that'll hit pirates hard and has enough space for a prize crew to take on missions to bring back salvaged ships. I especially like that it has a hangar bay big enough for a small tie fighter group. That means once Miru gets her hands on it they can add A-Wing storage racks and probably put a small 4 to 6 ship squadron aboard. Thats a big punch for a ship that size. Especially if they cut down the crew complement from 77 to around half that using droids. It's capable of being piloted by just two people and landing on planets as well. It's really the ideal ship for a group like Skyforged Vanguard who do regular Pirate raiding and salvage. Especially the Ion Cannon varient. Im looking forward to seeing what Miru could do with somthing like that.

Well, the raider is the best option out of the five. I personally think it would be way funnier if they came back with a Venator class destroyer.

The IR35 is a beautiful ship, but i think the raider is just too cool to pass up on

I see your argument against the Raider, but I'd counter with that's exactly why they should take it. It makes Counter-Intel ops against the Empire slightly easier. We know the different Skyforged teams have different focuses, so Team 4 specializing in counter empire makes sense. Even if they decide not to keep it, it would be a valuable intel coup to sell to the Rebellion.

The Raider-class ship just looks to cool for there to be any kind of debate. It also fits the personality of Sabine. I'm just glad it wasn't something op like a star destoyer.

I'm gonna be honest 1 and 2 are just gray blocks and I don't like them. The raider is too tied into Imperial spec-ops for it to be useful in any civilian situation. I like the Imperial Transport, but it doesn't really fit the multipurpose role the first ship should have. The IR looks a bit Star Treky, but I like the unique design for Star Wars, and it's usage as a system and patrol craft by local governments make it a much more civilian friendly and covert ship.
