I think sable should have a snake of some kind. It could be an extra pair of eyes, so to speak, as an extra layer of awareness. Regardless of what the others get, all of their companions should have optical camouflage and a function to get rid of nouroviruses and otherwise boost their resilience against net runners or aggressive ai.

Maybe making a couple of Trees which double as turrets within the compound? None would expect to have to a hack a tree. They could also use a bunch of unorthodox weapons like ivy whips or polen nanites which eat invaders. All while it lives out of photosynthesis.

Tiger. Full sized armored tigers, or slightly larger ice age era tigers. Movie tigers use recorded lion roars. Real tiger roars use subsonic frequencies that trigger our ape brains to panic mode.

Not sure what each of them should have but the group as a whole should have a massive animal that can kinda be called in as a "last resort" A bit like a "Ok we all are gona die lets call in the final boss" type of thing Also for the overall type it should not only be real animals maybe some mystical/fantasy stuff in there too ^^

You should have sabre-toothed tiger guards for around the compo compound ther were like 4 different species going from house cat sized up to their shoulder hight being about the same as the average human. The biggest one would be perfect for killing the really crazy full borgs

Rigs needs a grisly bear to help him in his tank role, I like the bird of prey for Katy but she wants a cat so give it discreet thrusters so it con fly, for Murtaugh I’m a horse he can ride with a particle shield and heavy weapons for defending the base, Jackie I’m jaguar with built in weapon and camo.

As for the new girl, im not sure she even needs one since they don't trust her yet. But if she does I'd go with a Fox. Stealth and Hacking capabilities as well as defensive subsystems.

I don't know who, but one of them should be a Komodo Dragon, failing that go with the good old Crocodile. None of the gangs are ready for robo lizards and I'd like to see anyone sane not shit themselves at a sprinting robo lizard coming right at them. Also, guard geese for the town.

Hmmm i’ve always liked birds and I have to recommend one. An eagle or raven or some such for Kayt would be incredibly useful for a long range sniper like Kat. A sensor/spotter/distraction and support companion would be a big boon for her and would be able to follow her anywhere quite easily if she needs to seek high ground or reposition very quickly. Edit in response to the additional info: awwww shame but a cat is also good for Kayt (small and mobile), I havent read and caught up to the latest chapter yet. But my point still stands for any of the other members. A bird companion is an extremely mobile and capable scout. Equiped with a sharp beak and talons it would also be a good last line of defence or to open up a target for an attack or to escape/reposition. If any of the gang is going for a more light/stealth build or run and gun style, it is still super useful.

A lemur is small enough to ambush someone,can climb well by desifn, and is also very cute. Can also be hidden in a big bag. A flashbang lemur ambusher is a good guard high up.
