Why is Noah so hot? The science.

Sup, dudes,
There’s real science behind it. This post is full of psychology, biology, darwinian and evolutionary shit—stuff most people don’t consciously know. It's both edging and homework.
But here’s the catch: guys like Noah don’t need to know it. They do it instinctively. That’s what makes it hot. If someone has to think about how to dominate a room, they're probably not going to pull it off.
And the wild part?
Even when you know exactly what he’s doing—when you understand every mechanism—your lizard brain still goes:“Yes, I’d love to hold your towel while you spit in my mouth. Thank you.”
So yeah. Here’s why Noah is so hot, and why Liam (and you) were never really going to win.
Some of this, you’ve already seen. Some of it? You’ll start catching in the next chapters.
Have fun. Try not to fall in love.
1. Dominance and Status Cues
From an evolutionary lens, humans are wired to pick up on dominance. Noah exudes it—not the loud, insecure kind, but the calm, grounded, “I’ll take care of it” kind. Dominance signals status. and status historically meant access to resources, protection, and better survival odds. We’re still wired to find it hot, even if modern society tries to coddle it out of us.
The Science:
In primates (yes ashley and you too), dominant individuals hold attention. Evolutionary psychology trained us to notice that—because it means elevated hierarchical position.
It’s not about aggression. It’s about behavioral control: slow movements, stillness, lack of flinching. That’s what power looks like.
Noah in Action:
Noah saying something and not waiting for a reply? Yup.
Noah asking questions that aren’t really questions? Yup.
Noah’s eye contact being heavy and intimidating? Yup.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
2. Confidence = Genetic Fitness
Noah doesn’t doubt himself. That confidence isn’t just sexy—it’s a biological signal of fitness, both mental and physical. People who move through the world like they own it don’t trigger our threat systems. Our nervous systems—especially those with trauma, anxiety, or hypervigilance (most of them lmao)—relax around clarity. Even if that clarity is terrifying.
The Science:
Confidence acts as a proxy for genetic stability and hormonal regulation—low cortisol, high testosterone, efficient neural wiring. Your body reads it before your mind does.
Noah in Action:
Noah's comfort in his own skin? Yup.
The blatant gaslighting? Yup. (u know its working if liams still coming back.)
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
3. Emotional Unpredictability = Dopamine Spike
This is my favorite, dudes. Noah is warm… then teasing. He’s generous… then distant. That push-pull? It hits like a slot machine. It’s addictive. We’re wired to chase the thing that gives us just enough to hope—but not enough to settle. (That’s also why some of y’all lose interest the second someone likes you back.)
The Science:
Intermittent reward spikes dopamine harder than consistency. It's why gambling is addictive. It mimics early attachment instability and hardwires obsession. You don’t bond with stable attention—you bond with emotional roulette.
Noah in Action:
One second he’s whispering in Liam’s ear. The next, he’s off joking with someone else? Yup.
Fucking around with Liam, then grabbing Ashley’s ass in front of him? Yup.
That cold shoulder in Chapter 6? Devastatingly yup.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
4. Sexual Confidence = Reproductive Power
Even if you aren’t planning on literally reproducing with Noah (fucking tragic i know), your lizard brain doesn’t care. Noah’s unapologetic sexual energy signals virility, control, and experience. The message is: I know how to make your body betray you. It cuts straight through social scripts and hits the brainstem.
The Science:
Sexual boldness = hormonal balance, fine motor control, and internalized dominance. Your brain processes it as: my genes and his genes will thrive together. Even if the only thing getting fertilized is Liam’s sense of self lmao.
Noah in Action:
The way Noah talks about sex like it’s weather? Yup.
The way he behaves sexually in social settings? Yup.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
5. Nonchalance = Selective Attention
Noah doesn’t try to impress. He genuinely couldn’t give a fuck. That makes people desperate for his approval. Evolutionarily, being selective signals value. It says: I have options. I’m choosing you. And that kind of scarcity? We’re evolved to crave it.
The Science:
Social scarcity = perceived value. It’s just economics, dudes. Low supply, high demand. Your instincts chase emotionally reserved, high-status individuals because it feels like winning.
Noah in Action:
Noah doesn’t show empathy to just anyone? Yup.
He doesn’t chase. Doesn’t explain. Doesn’t need validation? Yup.
So when he does look at Liam like he matters? That flash of warmth? Brutal yup.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------
6. Oxytocin = Emotional Bonding
That’s also one of my faves. Noah is rewiring Liam’s emotional circuitry—and he doesn’t even have to touch him to do it. (Though when he does, it’s fucking game over.) Every small moment is a drip-feed of oxytocin. Until one day, pulling away from Noah doesn’t feel logical—it feels wrong.
The Science:
Oxytocin is the bonding hormone. It’s released through eye contact, trust, shared rhythm.
Your brain associates the oxytocin with the person who triggers it. That’s how affection becomes dependency.
Noah in Action:
Noah gets close. Not just physically, but emotionally? Yup.
He notices Liam’s micro-expressions. Matches his tone? Yup.
A hand on the shoulder. A joke only Liam would get. A quiet, “You trust me, right?” Yup.

Ok now dude, this touches home for me. Human psychology and what makes us tick is exactly what grabs me, so I was eating up every word of your post. And yeah, I totally see your deep dedication to Liam and Noah. Look, I’m not a writer. Lucas, I’ve read a lot of stories—some amazing stuff—but this one hits completely different. It’s on another level. I find myself falling for each character in their own way. There’s no fluff, just pure excitement in every chapter. The only thing that disturbs me? The inevitable end. I don’t want this ride to stop. And fuck, I’m married LMAO—yet here I am falling for a character.

Looking forward to your next great chapter. After reading this you definitely have the brains and the beauty 😎
