I couldn't read the whole comment but it gets impossible to write if I have to spend 20 hours per chapter doing damage calculations, so I try to keep it malleable Also enemies and their equipment scale as well

I really want to know how your strength scaling works. He started at about 7-9 all stats and was in shape and taller than most people. What would a body-builders' strength be at? How much force is 1 strength? Is it linear or a multiplier on your base strength? How's it work? Cause I've seen tons of weapons testing and even sLIGHTLY above average humans can puncture a wooden shield with a javelin. I think the ONLY problem I've had with this story is the stats and how you portray his strength. If he had kept only gaining fractions of a stat point per level then it'd somewhat make some sense, but he's literally got like over 10x what he started with and the javelin was stopped. If you think about what'd actually happen if you're tossing some magic shield and other stuff, the goblin prob has 20 or less strength, so the javelin would slam into the shield, the force would be distributed, and the things arm would probably break (peoples' arms broken from sword strike and javelin strikes in real life in history), then the shield arm and shield would be forced against the goblins' body, and if the javelin was pierced through and he's strong enough then the javelin would probably slam into the the goblin, pinning the shield to him, if not just killing him from the pure force of the impact. IF it were realistic, the javelin would go straight through the shield and straight through the goblin, blowing its body into chunks from the froce. That's why I'm so curious how it scales, cause the way I'm assuming it is, he'd be throwing shit probably 4-5 times stronger than an olympic thrower. I'd say 10x more (cause his strength is 10x more) but his technique would account for a decent loss. Still, that's like 120-150 m/s speed of that javelin. As an example of how insane that'd be, a 50 Cal bullet weighs 660 grains and travels at 3029 fps. A Javelin weighs about 1.8 pounds or 12,600 grains and if it's traveling 150 mps(492 fps). The equation for this type of force is the speed squared multiplied by the weight and then divided by 450,240, which leaves you with the ft-lbs. To give an example of the numbers that follow, it takes about 55 ft-lbs to sufficiently kill a deer. This javelin would have 6,774 ft-lbs.. a 50 Cal would be at 13,449 ft-lbs.. Even accounting for all his loss of power due to poor form he'd abso-fucking-lutely destroy that goblin and most anything else that isn't sufficiently advanced if strength scaled linearly. So once again, do you know how your stats are working, or are you just going with the flow? If you're just doin what you're doin then I'll leave it at that and enjoy it for what it is, but the start of the story had me thinking you were going to head towards realism, but I'm assuming you're not?
