Quest Academy: Loyalists (Chapters 4, 5 and 6)

It's a delayed chapter release today because I was suffering from a splitting headache most of the weekend. I don't get migraines, so this kinda hit me out of the blue. I'm still not 100%, but didn't want to have a delay, so I pushed through. It's 11pm in Ireland, so I still kept my Monday promise. I wanted 4 or 5 chapters for this week, but it just wasn't possible. :(
These chapters might be shit, so let me know what you think of them. If they need to be reworked, then I'll do that this week. (I still enjoyed writing them, through the pain)
On spelling errors. These chapters will be given to an editing team that will be in charge of finding errors and correcting my punctuation etc. What is very beneficial for me is when you can't follow something in the story, or something doesn't make sense, or is contradictory to something earlier mentioned. Continuity checks are great for the story, and personally, as an author that feeds off validation and praise, I like when you highlight what you've enjoyed. I read every comment, so it's always nice to know when something is going right. :)
On the topic of character creation, I'll be working on a form to share with everyone at their tiers through Patreon, setting expectations and asking for information on your characters. I just don't have the headspace to do it right now, but it'll be in the coming weeks!

I love Jackel so much. Looking forward to more escapades like this one. Very confused about the Perfect ability. I thought for sure in book 3 it said it was a created weave, not a future evolution? Will have to relisten to the audio book.

Since Hype & Soul-forge are a thing I was wondering if there's a support class variant that would let you hype up others? Are Bards a thing in this setting? A certain guitar playing menace could make an unexpected comeback...

I assumed it was coming thru gaps in the map, but it does raise a "how big is the gap/voider" - not sure we know. I was guessing small humanoid, similar to a goblin. It may have been stated and I am just not a good... whats the word for when you can't ... the word...

Chapter 5, end of page 3, Why could the voided come through his map? It was drawn with chalk that should block the portals.

I agree, although it's possible the different reactions are because Jez didn't realise he meant right away but thought it was a future goal. If that is the case though it needs to be a bit clearer

To me there is a slite inconsistency between the chapters 51 of book 5 and the first chapter of book six. in Book 5 the conversation between Sal and Jez is: "And if our uniforms were Epic-Grade?" Sal asked as he paused his note-taking. "You already know that I'll be crafting the uniforms in-house. They'll likely have evolutionaryrunes, too. With at least the capability of reaching Legendary-Grade." With a nod, Jez's finger traced three-quarters of the way down the page. "That would be sufficient for Tier 4. Higher if the uniforms can get to Legendary. ..." an in book 6: "Uniforms." Sal answered without hesitation. "I'm going to be making outfits for the team, with evolutionary capabilities. You said that we needed Epic-Grade for one of the tiers, and I'm going to try and keep that as our baseline." Jez faltered at those words. "Wait... you're what?" He sat up in his chair and placed his hand on the desk while looking at Sal carefully. "Epic-Grade Uniforms are the requirements for a Tier 4 Guild. You don't need to put yourself under that sort of pressure." He actually sounded concerned for Sal as he continued. "It's incredibly premature and you don't even know that your current roster will be sticking with you for the long-haul. Rare-Grade is two tiers below that and would be respectable for a Tier 7... so as a Tier 8, there are no expectations on you to have anything higher than that." To me Jez has two different reactions to the same information, which he should already know in book 6. But Maybe u already rewrote it or something. Thank you for your Story. I am always awaiting the monday champters and refresh patreon every 10 minutes.

I had the impression the orders were more like a waitlist for a consultation, as opposed to a contractual obligation.

I would like to see Sal focus more on addressing the massive amount of orders he says he has front a variety of people, even if it's only a chapter or two. He keeps mentioning all these orders, including from before the summer break, i can't remember if he's actually addressed many or keeps getting distracted.

Ok so question I had, and so Sal made the healing blanket for his mom. I know the higher tiered heroes have longer lifespans and should have children longer. Will we see a baby Argento? And if we will, will the essence pumped into the body during pregnancy effect what the baby can do?

Great chapters! Nice setup for Blathnaid to get a guild commission for the uniforms, too! (Yes, I'm hoping. I love the idea of her seeing her main talent be incredibly useful to the guild before anyone else gets a chance to really shine.) Hope you feel better and have kicked the headache for good!

Wonderful chapters! All three are spit on in my estimation and high light other characters as well! Sal bare hand killing the voider was sensational as was him displaying the head to spectre! What a dick!
