It's been a while since the last update, so thank you all for your patience. I got back from Iowa last week and the jetlag hit me like a tonne of bricks. Thankfully, there's no more travel for me in the next few months so I'll be able to dedicate more time to writing the chapters.
I spent the weekend with my family in an AirBnb somewhere in Longford / Roscommon. It was fun, because my parents want to know about Book 5, and my sister is still catching up on the Audio for Book 4. It's blowing their mind that I'm halfway through Book 6, and it was just really nice being able to spend time with them.
Anyways, it's three chapters this week because I had less than a week and was away from my usual setup. It'll be more next Monday. :)

Ps: I'm aware of the conversations ongoing about the psionic ward hairclip in Book 5, which has been addressed in edits. The Death Net will be reworked as a name and how it was communicated, too. There are a few things I'm aware of that will be edited out at the end of the process. :)

Ok. Im finally catching up on my backlog of books and chapters. And Idk if it’s already been said but Barry is turning into a complete jackass. You’d think for someone who was ranked close to the bottom he would understand arbitrary stats mean nothing. But he writes someone off immediately just because they don’t have a good “rank”. Not sure I’m a fan of how you’ve changed Barry.

Continuity observation - in a previous chapter, Barry met Anna (and pronounced her name almost correctly) and mentioned that a Conjurer would be a great member for the Guild. But later, when Blathnaid suggested her, Barry dismissed Anna as a contender.

I just went back to chpt 40. I forgot Chattfield was there. Now I'm suprised that he didn't have any comments about Sal's Safe Zone Zombie shelter. Brian did you forget he was there too? Or did he leave after they all grouped up. It'll be hard to keep the Red Zone shelter a secret if Chattfield tells Robert/The Hunter's Bureau.

What happens if the outpost gets big enough to hit the red barriers? Would love to see Sal with an armor with an integrate function to consolidate all the pieces without a loss of function. That and a backup weapon on a belt. Maybe more drones lol. But great close out on the fort and the guild membership building. Will Sal now be able to get back to equipping the members now that they are running dungeons?

After reading the last three chapters again, it feels like the pacing is off from the rest of the series. I feel like I missed a chapter in between 47/48, another between 48/49, and a half chapter in between 49/50. I would like to see the inspiration behind the swimming pool, the creation of the hammacks, and more potatoes hitting people on the noogin as they are running around trying to help put "fires" out in the fort.

I am so in life be with this series. I have never signed up for a patreon before but I'm so invested and cannot wait for more! I do hope that we start to see some antagonism from jealous guilds or students who get rejected from joining the mythic guild. I was so sad to see shade fade in the background and I hope he resurfaces for some villainy. Keep up the great work!

I love the chaos of the fort powering up and the over abundance of essence causing so many unforeseen hiccups to solve - it’s a great reminder that no plan survives first contact and project plans go out the window the second you start trying to implement them in the real world - Prime can’t understand that kind of issue so Sal needs to learn to build better tolerances into his design phase accounting for things not being exactly as anticipated and having failsafes - like those core-banks for the essence overflow. It’s a great example of Sal learning these things the hard way and not just being an unmitigated genius crafter but a regular person who miscalculates from time to time. He dealt with it though - even if it was with a spa hot springs in a combat zone 😂🤣
