Anyone else excited when sal shows upgrade and fabi the drone in the dungeon? If he is keeping jackal a secret he's going to need some new armor and a weapon that should be even more impressive! Damn my thirst for more!!!

I think if they develope a way to take small replenishing core and implanting them where gates should be they would be able to implant the weaves then. Unless they have some other way to infuse gates. Then again, Fabi went all the way to 320 gates with all of the extra essence.

Someone said it before that Sal's love language is gifts. The more connected he feels with his team mates the more effort he will put into gear. With Rochelle as an example we know gear can blow those numbers out of the water. Even if it doesn't last I'd still like to see that group pull together for some event or trial. I just don't know if Hannah should rate being a member of the team. I'd trade her for Brophy in a hot second. Edit: with that said do you think Barry would have even considered Brophy's numbers? He's not a Savior but that doesn't mean they are not allowed to work with him right?

im not sure how accurate it is as they have downplayed Sals score which intern will mess with the score of the team

I really hope Sals team suggestion happens. I'm not sure about Hannah but the rest sounds awesome. As much as Barry is talking smack about other controllers becoming offenses I really feel he would benefit from doing the same.

Ok I just had a though on book 4, Robert is scared of Bastion getting the implant/imprint technology because then those up in space can get powers. Has there been any mention of them having developing powers or internal cores and essence gates while being up in space? How else would the implanted weave work without essence gates? My train of though was they’re up in space and had no essence exposure so therefore won’t be able to activate ability weaves anyway? For example powers are growing stronger by each generation on earth as they have been exposed to more essence over the years.

Chapter 9 sounds like Barry may be top student in the Tactics master class, he’s really into it and motivated. His character has shown so much growth from book one.

Question. Did the Circlet get used during tower runs by Divinity? So it sounded like Divinity was training "some martial arts thing" most likely "Style" the Assassin technique. I'm thinking the circlet factored into her rating but the martial arts techniques Petro gave her aren't included.

I agree but I just felt like mentioning it since authors can't do much without constructive criticism. Instead of a reviewless dislike on Amazon when it's out, I mention it now and maybe book 4 will be smoother after the edits. Fabi is definitely one of the characters I like the least. She just doesn't fit IMO. All the news ones seem pretty interesting though and I can't wait to see Sal embarrass Spectre.

It clearly factors in equipment considering all the equipment Sal has thus far used in Dungeons while at Quest Academy are listed on his profile. If he demonstrates his gloves he will probably shoot up to 90+ at least

Is Sals combat rating average at the moment due to jackle not being a registered mythic grade item yet? Would his rank shoot up once it is? Also I can’t shake the feeling grandpappy Silverson/Argento will show up at the Academy and stir up trouble.

You're absolutely reading too much into that. It's a callback to my old series Wildcards in some ways, so more of a nostalgia hit than any sort of real-world parallel. :)

So best way to read them I've found is to just use Adobe acrobat app. The other reading apps I've tried just don't format right for my tastes. If you like black text on white background liquid mode is fine I think. But if you prefer white on black dark mode, then make sure liquid reading is off and then change view settings to reading mode and adjust font size and such to taste. It's not perfect, but the best I've found. Also note full appraisal tables won't reformat so they'll be like normal pdf reading still. Everything else at least is still way better for phone reading at least. Still would love the stories in the posts like you, but this is good enough for me otherwise.

4 chaps to start the day when work sucks! Perfect :-) Fun chapters at that! We are finally seeing the birth of the drone army! Question: is the fact that our protagonist and associated crafters looks like they are actually going to build a drone army inspired by modern warfare and it's near (at the very least) futur focus on Drones? Or are my reading to much into it ?

Sal and Upgrade together again at last. I love the brother and sister kind of relationship they have. I look forward to seeing Sal working on more weaves for students now that he is back at QA. The sim module won't know what to do when Sal make the first student team with over 500 compatibility with legendary gear and skill weaves that can evolve like Fabi's.
