How close are we to the Saviours class selection (time-line wise)? I feel like it should happen before the book ends (since it's on the title), but there's only so much you can fit into 20ish 2k words chapters. Also, if it does happen, I really hope we can know at least some of the names and abilities and that it doesn't end on a cliffhanger regarding that.

I like the idea of her wearing the amulet also in classes (and that she needs the silence) but I think it would only come to pass if she really fails in a test that was hinted at taking part within the tower. But she did know the question to an answer from one of the team that shows she paid attention. I think her final test of character will be when she chooses her implant ability: will she choose something that makes her stronger or will she go for something to block hearing thoughts all the time...

My main thoughts this week are: who is the mysterious crafter that made the armor that Sal bought for Berry? And does Brophy have a second skill? I think Sal identified/analysed him with the visor previously (and figured out he was Gallant), so that should have detected the second ability I guess. That would leave an object with an ability as to explain why he can rate items. The visor analysis probably also would have also given a hint about Brophy being a doppelgänger though, so not sure if I missed a hint about it or if Brophy is simply himself with an additional item that can identify. Really liked the chapters and can't wait for the curveball next week!

I am liking Sal’s confidence in himself! The perfect ability is perfect for him. I feel like it can apply to not just skills but other esoteric matters such as speech, reading into people and charisma

That was my thoughts as well. Especially when she wanted to go off alone with Ioseph. I could see her ditching the suppressing amulet & controlling him for her own benefit.

I'm interest in seeing Sal and Grant get to gether after the tower, and lay down so rules to Weaves leading to down the road an comprehasive theory about Weave design (long way off) Also next steps for them get Sal to adjust Skill Weave incremental up through the ranks to see if there are any common elements. Can a skill weave be locked at a certain rank can a skill weave unlocked. and you close off a weave from evolving, can you open one up. So far Sal as only discover 4 Grades in Skill Family. With the top rank being 25. yet his Skill Master has a potential rank of 30 so are there 5 Grades

It was stated that she was a top mark student before Chatfield's changes. if i was a Student i would be wondering if she wasn't just 'mind reading' the anwser and expectation from the teachers and didn't actually learn anything. and this situation in the tower is just going to highlight how she as been coasting a long. The Question is will she learn now? I personally thing she should wear the restricting amulate during classes out side of Training her ablity and combat. wheather that imposed and something she decides to do. Might be good for her not to be able to hear everyones thoughts all the time.

You're welcome. I think this wasn't the first time one week was mentioned between the end of Sal's excursion and the tower attempt. I don't remember what chapter it was but It was mentioned before that the tower attempt will start as soon as the other teams, who spent four weeks in the excursion, came back. I was surprised initially at the time as their shouldn't be time to attend classes for the other teams.

I think the timeline needs looked at again Brian. Prestige said that it's been a week since she last saw Ericka but that can't be right. Sal and his team came a week early from the excursion, a week before Divinity and Barry's teams, then he spent time with his friends going to classes and training so it should be at least two weeks since the excursion.

Good point. I mean growth or repair can actually have some effect on the team at large as well as do their job. I feel like she ability wise she can only do her job. And with the trust levels on her tram she cant rven do that. Its a shitty situation she caused herself.

She's experiencing the Tower like a lot of the other students who have abilities like Repair and Growth. Things that won't help them at all in a combat scenario. As a Controller, she needs to be able to make decisions and guide her team as a Leader, and she doesn't need an ability to do that. :)

Wahoo in the tower. Isnt erika without powers just a normie? How can she be at all effective in a combat situation? I would have excluded her from the tower run if i was managing the thing.

I been thinking that Sal’s skill implantation improvement should get a massive reaction from bastion and allies in Major factions because they don’t have abilities or broken abilities now Sal can take common abilities combined and improved multiple abilities that can be implanted .So after returning from the tower they can blast news channels with new breakthrough in skill implantation development lead by bastion and the work to uplift the common people or are they going to lean to a more cloak and dagger backroom plotting development or a mixed approach

Erika really is a mess with her ability cut. She already has trust issues, and it just gets worse when she can't take a look at what everyone around her is thinking.

I can see that. It's not what he is saying but the implications he is making. Hard to do that in writing without explicitly stating it.

I think she has that ability with just her mind reading but as you state she ignores that as unimportant. Having an ability that forces her to relive that part would have to be her having no control of it like is gallant's issue.

So, the weaves stuff is fun for Sal. The solution for Brophy is something he 'has' rather than something he enjoyed finding. I wanted there to be a clear difference between them.

This might be cruel, but as we know abillities can have drawbacks orceven negative effects. I would love or atleast find it interesting if sal added something like that to erika's abillity in the form of empathy (showing what her actions through her abbility but also her demeanor has on people good and bad in a pov of the person shes using it on. And even going as far as reliving these visions or atleast the general feelings they radiate when she activates it. So for example she would use it on sal and then she would see the anger feel the pain and suffering her actions have caused others. This also cus i feel like shes activly ignoring those emotions when using her abbility.

I like how Perfect fits in as an OP training accelerator but not immediate god status. Interesting to see Erika double and triple down on her anger. I wonder where you're taking that plotline and if she's going to pull something in the Tower even under Prestige's nose

Great chapters, Prestige is swinging a little too hard in Sal's direction (not saying she shouldn't, just an observation). I actually feel a bit sorry for Erica here, she still massively deserves it but her insane casting around for answers and people to blame combined with her lack of understanding about why she's wrong is pitiable
