Week 35 - It's my birthday!
🕑 Added 2018-09-11 11:29:19 +0000 UTC Hallooo!Last week we put out another Platformer episode. This week we'll be doing the same! If there's any *small* features you'd like to see in the platformer or polishing touches you want to know how to accomplish. Now is the time to speak up because we are rapidly wrapping this thing up and tying the loose ends.
After the platformer is done and dusted, the next thing should be for me to go back and tackle the second place winner of the Poll which was "Melee attacks revisited."
However, that poll was 5 weeks ago. That's a long time for people to have learned new things and grown as developers; in that time we've also gained a lot more new patrons who've not yet had a chance to vote on anything. So I'm tempted to run a fresh poll (with the Melee topic included of course!) to get a fresh understanding of where we're at and what people want.
I would like to do at least one (or two?) standalone video(s?) before jumping right back into another "series" though. Standalone videos despite the time they sometimes take are my favorites to work on because of the depth and all of the fancy editing and diagrams they can support. And I know some of you have been craving some not-so-beginner level stuff with a bit more meat to it.
So that's the plan as it stands. I know most of these updates have been a bit same-y while we finish off the platformer, but I still like to let you all know how things are going.
I'm taking the rest of today off. Cos it's my birthday gosh darn it!
Thank you all so much for your support, as always!
