Week 17 - Ludum Done
🕑 Added 2018-04-23 13:26:44 +0000 UTC TL;DR: Saving & Loading video should be done this week. LD41 game is linked below along with source code.Whew. That was a pretty mad weekend. The problem with weekend game jams is that level of intense work doesn't leave you feeling very fresh for the week ahead. But I made a game!
You'll have noticed the JSON video did not go up last week, as I mentioned previously, this is probably going to be a two weeker.
That video will come first too, I didn't locally record the footage of LD41 but I believe twitch and youtube should both have it archived so I can look into making a cute timelapse and publishing the full footage another time. In the meantime the game AND it's GMS2 source code is available here: https://ldjam.com/events/ludum-dare/41/tower-of-cards
As always with jam stuff it's terribly commented and by the end is total spaghetti code (it started off so well!) but there's some useful stuff in there and I actually used a lot of the data techniques I'll be teaching in this upcoming saving + loading video (even though there's no saving and loading in this game! I use JSON for importing all of the card data + stats.)
Hope those of you that stopped by the YT stream or the twitch stream had fun watching. If any of you took part I'd love to check out your games too!
