Good news, bad news
🕑 Added 2023-06-27 19:10:20 +0000 UTCFirst the bad news, I'm not going to be able to get the next Shadow over Meridia update out in time. I can't finish one of my scenes and this lack of inspiration isn't a problem I can solve simply by working harder.
I really needed a week to clear my head and so the next update will be on the 15th.
Now for the good news, I haven't made as much progress on SoM as I'd like but I've been working nonetheless. I've created a little side game called Re:curse origin, which is a mix between a time management game and a strategy game, in which you play as an overlord whose days are numbered but who can turn back time each time he dies. As you go along, you can corrupt your opponents to win them over to your cause.
I was inspired by games like increlution or overseer (an old rag game from the hypnopic collective) and the first version is almost finished. It will be released at the end of the month in place of the SoM update.
I'm going to focus on SoM developpement, though, because I've been wanting to get that game out for a long time, and I really like the story I've written for it, so it would be a shame if I didn't manage to finish it. But when I get stuck for lack of inspiration, I'll be able to work on it to take my mind off things without feeling guilty about not working.
Sorry again if you were looking forward to SoM, I really hope you enjoy RE:curse in the meantime even if it's not what you were expecting.
