Cytube @ 12:30PM EST! We're going to watch MXC! For the recipe/meal I am thinking of a simple rice dish BUT the main component is CURED EGG YOLKS! I want to eat it over my rice :D

Use old white rice or sushi rice made 1-3 days ago
MAKE THIS OVERNIGHT: melt half a stick of butter in the microwave in a safe container for storing. After it's melted, add lemon juice (or fresh lemon juice and zest), soy sauce, fresh chopped garlic and a tiny squirt of honey and mix them and pop it into the fridge and let it rest overnight. I recommend dark soy sauce! For the amounts of everything I eyeball them lol but I think it should be to YOUR taste but use less soy sauce and a lottt lemon than you think because they're quite strong! You will use this to give a flavor to your fried rice as you fry it in the pan. I also add a little bit of sesame oil when I fry my rice but I usually don't have it around so it's not a huge deal lol
Things I add to my fried rice: frozen peas, frozen carrots, mushrooms, garlic, onions, green onions, sesame seeds, peppers, ginger, eggs and leftover chicken of any kind! Even something like old KFC cut up and fried with everything!
Melt a little bit of the butter you created in a pan. It should be hard and maybe a bit liquid-y at the bottom. Just scoop out a little bit for a basic coating in the pan so the rice can fry properly. Add the rice and carrots, onions, peas and leftover chicken to the pan during this time if you're using those ingredients. Let them cook a bit and add more of the garlic butter if you need it! I add a little bit of soy sauce, mirin and sake/chinese cooking wine as it cooks too. Let those things cook for a little while and then take an egg or two and mix them together in a separate container with a bit of the liquid from the butter or a little bit of your soy sauce. Move a bit of the fried rice to the side of the pan and stir the frying eggs as they cook. Once the eggs start cooking start stirring them into your fried rice! Once everything looks cooked and a little dark it should be done! Make sure you don't go overboard on the soy sauce. It seems like I add a lot but honestly add small amounts here and there! This recipe is a bit crazy because I make it mostly based on things I have around and I eyeball everything. You can honestly make the rice without any of the additions as long as you have the garlic butter and it will still be really tasty! If you make this I hope you like it! <3

ohhh I just checked the recipe and it sounds amazing. that compound butter sounds like a great addition in what seems to be a bountiful version of an egg fried rice. Also, I want to brag a little because I've been making these for a long time now so I feel pretty confident I can pull it off, I even have my own wok hehe. I'll def try to get the stuff for your version and well i don't have sanji's flakes but I guess chilli flakes will have to do haha I'll let you know how it turns out!!!

I love MXC! I used to watched so much of it growing up! Also I've never heard of curing egg yolks but it sounds good. I'll start it right away so it has a couple days, really excited for this! I've never had it before so im excited to try it! I think I'll add some kind of meat to go along with it too? I'm just really happy to get to hang out with you more. I've seen some cooking shorts recently about cured egg yolks, I'm not a fan of egg in a lot of recipes cause runny yolk grossed me out, so I might actually try this one. Anyways see you then!!
