Sunday plans 10/12/2025 - MINI FEAST AND OVER THE GARDEN WALL WATCH PARTY!!!
🕑 Added 2025-10-05 21:50:53 +0000 UTCI think instead of early morning we can watch Over The Garden Wall a bit later and end the night with cozy fall-themed ASMR! I'm thinking 6:30PM EST because the entire show is around ~ 2 hours long. We can have a Shepard's Pie as a stew/potatoes and molasses type of thing (ex recipe https://www.simplyrecipes.com/recipes/easy_shepherds_pie/ ) or some sort of potatoes and gravy like potatoes and molasses! You can also do the actual potatoes and molasses if you follow this recipe here https://www.feastofstarlight.com/over-the-garden-wall-potatoes-and-molasses/ or https://thegluttonousgeek.com/2020/11/11/potatoes-and-molasses/but it may be a bit complex or have too many ingredients to purchase! You can also do quick mashed potatoes mix with gravy!!! Anything like that works!
For a drink I suggest apple cider! There are many in season to buy but apple juice or warmed apple juice can do the trick! If you want an easy spiked apple cider I suggest https://wholefully.com/apple-cider-hot-toddy/ there are also easy apple cider mixes!
If you'd like to do a dessert I suggest turtle candies or you can make them homemade if you want to do some extra work https://pudgefactor.com/easy-3-ingredient-turtles-candy/ this is fitting with the show! You can also do dirt cups which are chocolate pudding and crushed oreos and some gummy frogs if you can find them!!!
I will be making a Shepard's Pie with some molasses and mushroom gravy with apple cider as my drink and I'll buy some turtles and make a dirt cup! Obviously, all of this is if YOU want to do it or find it fun! No need to make anything or even just have a drink, it's all for fun! <3 see you there! Let's make this Sunday super fun!

I also really appreciate the early notice, I try to do all my groceries on Monday/Tuesday so that means I'll be able to grab everything in one fell swoop the time also works out just fine for me! Oh wow you can tell you put a lot of thought into this and how excited you are! It’s super cute and thanks for giving us a whole week to get prepped for it. I’ve been really enjoying our little cooking projects and watchalong so this mini feast has me super excited, I can’t wait to try those turtles! Never seen the show before so I’ll be going in blind. All of that sounds delicious! Especially the apple cider hot toddy and the potatoes and molasses (I've never thought mixing those together). Its not even Monday and I'm already excited for next Sunday lol. Cooking the mini feast and candies will be really fun! It will be my first time watching Over the Garden Wall. i like this idea a lot! Shepards pie is so good plus i have a ton of molasses that I don't know what to use it for! Making food related to the show is smart! Also thank you for giving the idea early so there's lots of time to get stuff if we need! Lets have a lot of fun!

Ah, I had shepards pie on thursday this week, my brothers are not gonna be down with that again. I'll have to think of something to replace it. I think I'll get some of the bottled sparkling apple cider though. I think its Martinellis or something. Love that stuff. Making the turtles could be fun.
