YouTube Plagiarism and A Little Update

I didn't charge you folks for it because it was kind of low effort and something I felt needed talking about before I went back to the other stuff!I'm currently recording the first in a new backer-only thing called SKELETON ASKS, where I answer questions in a video format, just because I think that might make for interesting content. I've sourced the questions so far through Curiouscat but probably from now on I'll do it through comments or messages I get on Patreon, since all the ones after this first one will be just for backers anyway. If you have a question you'd want answered in a semi-jokey video thing, please mark it with SKELETON ASKS so I know!
Additionally, I've been thinking a lot about the credits. I came up with the credits system back when I had about two backers, and never expected so many beautiful people to pay me to make this stuff. I like thanking people, but I'm always thinking about the quality of the videos, and I think the credits are getting quite unwieldy. I'm going to keep doing them for a bit - I've experimented with cutting them up between videos, or only doing them once a month in the longest video so they take up less of the runtime, but I'm still not fully certain what it is that I should do with them going forward. If you have some ideas or suggestions, let me know!
I've been thinking of offering new patreon backer things entirely for the $10 level like special livestreams or AMAs on a Discord or something like that, but I'm not really certain what it is that people would like, so I thought the smart thing to do would be to admit that, and ask! Let me know what you think of the credits and stuff. I'm not making any changes just yet but it's always worth thinking about.
This month I want to make videos about the Lisa game series, Night In The Woods, and finish off part two of the Bill Nye Measured Response, along with a little addendum that might be necessary based on how responses to the first part pan out.
There's currently a whole bunch of bloodborne footage sitting open on my monitor while I try to finally get those videos in shape and out the door. Thanks for your patience on those!
I'm gonna float an idea for a video next month past you lot, to see what you think: I was thinking of doing a piece covering the development of a couple of speedruns over time, and some other stuff in that community that seems fun, and then at the end announcing a charity livestream. You see while researching the Donkey Kong 64 speedrun history, I found my old cart. I have 72 hours on that game, when I was a kid, and still never finished it. So I was thinking: What if I try to beat my original playtime, as in, the actual time played on that cart, by streaming for 72 hours attempting to play the game, and hooking up various horrible loud noises and lights to the donation system, and streaming for three straight days in my garage with a rotating team of guests? I would, you know, fall asleep, but that would probably be part of it. For some reason I'm really enamoured with the idea, but I'm curious what you think. Is it A Bad Idea? Should I do it anyway? What charity should I be suffering for? Let me know!

The DK64-stream idea sounds like a joke that should not be materialised past those lines of words. Charity is good, joking about speedrunning is also good, but 72 hours in a garage with an old Nintendo 64 game... it just sounds like a horror comedy set-up. (So, obviously, you're going to do it, 'cause you're a free and crazy diamond and we, ze patrons of ze art, pay you to do whatever you feel like doing. So dance, monkey, dance!)

The DK thing might be a weird thing to do but hey, I'm honestly glad at the amount of different and experimental content you provide - I'd say go for it, if you feel it'll be fun and interesting! As an insomniac though, I'd say, uh, 72 hours straight content might be distressing for you, even if you do nap, intentionally or otherwise during it. Take care of yourself if you go through with it!

In regards to the credit thing; I'd argue maybe pre-record the credits and update them as necessary each time? I mean unless you're already doing that. That would diminish the Penis Requester however, who asks for something new every so often and it'd be sad to lose that, obviously.

As for the credits, I know they're kinda unwieldy, but I quite like them (plus there's a weird ASMR quality to your voice when you read them, it's pretty zen). Honestly I'd stick with them as is. Anyone who doesn't watch credits is just going to skip them, so no harm, everyone else either doesn't mind or actually likes them.

I really like the DK64 idea. Especially if you literally just keep streaming for three days, falling asleep periodically in front of the camera (and if you successfully get annoying lights and sounds to go off during donations it'd be hilarious). It'd probably wreck you for a few days, but from a fiscal/entertainment standpoint it'd be great.
Please do the Donkey Kong stream. That sounds like torturous fun. Also for a #SkeletonAsk, are you reading any new comics regularly? Like do you have a pull box somewhere?

I agree the credits have gotten rather long, but perhaps that is just the novelty of hearing my name having worn out. π maybe go with a different idea for the tens going forward, but continue to read out the new ones for that month? That way they get the pleasure at least once!

World of Darkness is my favourite series, you're one of my favorite youtubers, the concept of you doing a video on V:tM-B so I can use it to convince my friends who also watch you to PLAY IT FOR FUCK SAKE, would be amazing tbh.

I'll admit, I'd be sad to see the credits format go. I always watch all the way to the end and love seeing what ridiculous things people come up with for you to say and have even thought of increasing my pledge just to make you say terrible stuff haha

Does asking if you're going to do a VT:M-B video count as a skeleton ask? Cause I know you said you were going to do a New Vegas one, and those were both in your fallout 3 list.
