Fallout 3 is Garbage, and Here's Why
🕑 Added 2016-05-13 14:00:41 +0000 UTC Finally, this video is out! This took months of work. So much work that a bunch of live-action footage I shot for it went missing completely. The coin toss at the beginning had video. That coin (it was really a bottle cap) is still back there somewhere. This desk is super heavy though.I have 2 more videos planned for this month, but first I have some bonus content to catch up on. I'm not going to charge patrons for this one until that stuff's out. Seems fairer that way!

Fallout 3 is one of the games that got me into video games and rpgs specifically, funnily enough, and I still like the game despite noticing its problems, many of which you address. I like your perspective but I can't entirely agree. I suppose I'm one of those people who, like you say in the video, like and enjoy the game by ignoring the story... but I dont know if thats true either. What I like about fallout 3's main story and sidequests is that it is trying to invoke the feeling of pulpy scifi fiction of 40s and the 50s but also is pulpy science fiction of its own. I love that kind of garbage so much because its funny and trys to be interesting but also its bad, I mean I also have a habit of watching garbage movies too. To me, fallout 3 is a game of style over substance and because I really like that style, in fact its almost like a style that was perfectly tailored for me, I like it a lot.
This video was excellent! I'm a new backer because of this. I know this was a huge amount of work, but I'd absolutely love to hear you talk more about Fallout 2, New Vegas, or other great games like Planescape Torment. In fact, I think I will (for the first time) pick up the original Fallout, thanks to this video.
