Cyberpunk Gert and Jess
🕑 Added 2018-01-19 22:56:02 +0000 UTC The big genre winner for this month's futuristic poll was Cyberpunk! And there were quite a few calls for Gert and Jess in that setting in particular. SO HERE.I've done a couple of more... outlandish cyberpunk themed pieces in the past, so I thought I'd go for something a little more grounded and noir-y this time. The entire thing is a pretty big riff on Blade Runner, of course, although it's kind of a grab bag of different characters and aesthetic elements from the film that I wanted to draw, rather than a recreation of any one particular scene.
Of course, who knows how differently the events of Blade Runner would have unfolded with Gert and Jess inserted! Or maybe it's just a very elaborate cosplay shoot? Or a poster for SCI FI night at the Saucy Hippo? The world may never know!
