Kirby Guardian Episode 9: The snow village
🕑 Added 2023-11-02 01:14:30 +0000 UTCBased on a true story. Snow is a rare sight on Green Grounds, mainly due to its location on planet Popstar. It is usually a warm place but The Company have the chance to witness it every three years! This time, they decided to create two villages: "Passion Village" and "Creation Village". Most villagers live in harmony but a duo of shopkeepers will stumble upon a certain item that will bring discord to the two villages.
Thank you, everyone, for supporting me while I was working on this episode! I'm having a lot of fun with this series and seeing it evolve over time is a treat. But knowing that you also enjoy it means a ton to me! I am currently working on a commission but rest assured that episode 10 is fully planned! It's going to be action heavy, but I'll try to keep it simple still!
This exact scenario happened to my friends and I back in primary school. Just replace snow with sand. We had a large sand area that would open up everyday during lunch time. We had different villages that would sell sand balls for pebbles. One day, one group found a huge rock that was far away from us all and decided to keep it for them. Then everyday after eating, there was a race to steal that rock and keep it in our respective villages. It ended up in a big fight until a school supervisor threw that rock away and told us that she would close the sand area for the rest of the year if it was to be moved again. It worked.

That ending really showcases that Adeline is the exact person she needs to be to raise ten children. X) I love the themed combat transformations, too. Lot of fun visual details. Always a blast to see this family just, bein' a family. This'll be a treat of an episode around the holidays.

This should be fun! I'll be drawing along, as usual. And sharing ideas and drawings is a lot of fun! I hope this year I won't have to walk 3 hours under a snowstorm like I did 6 years ago lol That was not a great arc in my life, hahaha!

Don't worry too much about expectations, the most important part is having fun with it, I believe that should always come first. The more fun it is to write a story, the more passion and love will be put into it! I'll be there, I can't wait to see the progress on the new overlay! I wouldn't mind snow this year but I know going to work would become near impossible lol

I dont think you've lost your touch, I think the touch has only grew more defined since those 8 years I encourage it and the roles they take, I'd love to see more spotlight on the underutilized as much as our green star :) Oh yea, her beginnings and growth was a hell of a blast to see that the sweet mama/powerhouse combo has only grew further as a favorite of mine too! This is major character development I've never seen someone do in Adeleine...i better up my game

Thank you so, so much, Arrol! I believe the last time I drew a dark and snowy enviromnent like this was 8 years ago, despite me liking this atmosphere as well! I'm glad you liked The Company's roles as villagers, as slowly I try to put the spotlight on members who didn't get much screentime in the past, and of course, the green star of the show! Now that we've explored most facets of her life, she's been even more fun to work on! That sweet Mama/Powerhouse combo is my favourite!

A snowy and comforting episode beginning to end and enjoyed each of the gang's role. The music was top notch as ever as is the effects you got to work here to the star and particle effects. The atmosphere is a favorite of night and cold that I liked and yet also ominous, making me think Dark Matter's taken over the place, reminds me of Ripple star lol. Can't have a simple snow village being made without some of the company acting a fool, and inquiring the green tower's wrath. Adeleine showing some of that boss mama energy again, throwing that rock, to them may as well be half a mountain into the skies and telling them off. God I love her. A great episode to conclude this year, thank you so much for the work and effort you put into this, Kimi. I'm ver yelated.
