June Release 1: Forgotten Watchtower
🕑 Added 2023-06-22 02:58:46 +0000 UTCHi Guys,
Another release! The Forgotten Watchtower. This is a six level scene... man how did it turn into this? Looking back now, this is not really very close to my planned battlemap - the Toppled Tower. This... morphed into something completely different. Not bad, but not what I had planned. At least I have another idea for another month ;)
This month also sees us try something new - Clip Studio Paint. This seems to be a very powerful map making tool, but this was my first full map made with it. Let me know how it turned out!
The Forgotten Watchtower is an abandoned watchtower planted on a hill. I imagine it once provided early warning in the borderlands somewhere. Maybe peace has come or the threat diminished and it has fallen into disrepair. It would make a great place for kobolds or bandits or as a place that holds lost information.
For Foundry users rooms in the watchtower can be toggled between an empty version and one with ruined furniture and rubble. A cellar allows an extra entrance for stealth approaches and a secret door allows easy entrance to another dungeon scene if needed. The portcullis moves and can be activated by players as well as the GM.
Let me know what you think!
