August Release 1: Verbane's Tower in Town, vehicles, stalls and the Unicorn Inn
🕑 Added 2022-08-24 02:28:06 +0000 UTCHi all!
Man I don't know about you, but the summer has been crazy so far for me. Lots to do - took on an extra assignment at my regular job, busy weekends away and on top of that we still planning for the wedding in September.
I think I am going to be busier still soon, so I wanted to let you all know that I wasn't planning to release any new content for September. Don't worry I am will also not charge for the month either. The plan is to come back strong for October! However, August 2 release may push into early September. Since I'm not really releasing or charging for the month I hope no one has an issue with that.
Additionally, I wanted to mention a small change to my patreon going forward. Currently, I'm set up to charge only on the start of the month. This will remain so, but I will be asking new members to pay for the existing month when they join. I think this makes more sense, as I have a fairly decent sized library now and which you can download entirely on day one. This won't affect existing patrons at all.
Now on to the release. In the video this month I actually talk! I've been contemplating doing this for a while, but only just now found the courage. So excuse my rambly voice :) If there is anything you'd like clarified in a video-quasi-tutorial let me know. I try my best to explain what I've done in my Foundry module journal notes, but it may not be clear (I write like I talk haha). In the video I go over what's in the new release and show how to use some of the prefabs I've built.
So what is new? Glad you asked.
1. Updated Verbane's (Rotating) Tower scene - A new scene (same tower) incorporating it into the Shir Proper (Town) series of scenes. It was always meant to be part of the town, and is incorporated now. The already released version has been renamed to Verbane's Tower - Alternate.
2. Four new vehicles - I've added the bale wagon and barrel wagon, the transport wagon and the traveler's wagon. The bale and barrel wagons can be altered into knocked over variants. The Transport and Traveler wagons can be mounted via the arrow buttons.
3. Vendor Stalls - three vendor stalls are included. The farmer's stall, tinkers stall and food stall. This is a new series I've been planning and there will be more of these as the Town continues to grow.
4. The Unicorn Inn - right now I've created the base prefab for the Unicorn Inn. It has 3 levels (cellar, tavern, inn rooms) and roof. This will form the basis of my next scene - Shir Proper - the Unicorn Inn. It's a nifty little inn, with some secrets and a lot of plans still :)
Ok that's it for now. Let me know if you like this type of video or if there's anything else you'd like to see or have explained!
