Her silence worked as she had expected, causing Alicia to become even more annoyed with her, and her left eye to start twitching.
"Excuse me. Did you not hear my question, Katie? Where were you?" Alicia asked again, crossing her arms over her chest.
As she collected her nightwear, Katie realized she was thoroughly enjoying winding up Alicia. So, she rolled her eyes at her friend and said, "Oh my God! Will you relax, Alicia? It's only eleven now. That's not so late. But if you must know, I was only hanging out with Harry."
Alicia's eyes widened in surprise at Katie's answer, and suspicion began to form in her mind as she noticed the attractive clothes her friend was wearing. "What do you mean you were with Harry? Practice ended hours ago, right? So, what the hell were you doing with him for so long?"
Katie shrugged her shoulders in response, acting nonchalant as she took off her white crop top and began to change into her cute, pink, fluffy pyjamas. "I guess Harry and I didn't really notice the time. We were just talking about one thing or another. You know, like how bad Umbridge has been as a teacher so far or how I would be perfect for the Vice-captain position?"
Her answer caused Alicia to let out a derisive snort. "Really, Katie? If you're going to lie to me then at least do it better." She scoffed mockingly, slamming her book shut. "I mean, do you honestly expect me to believe that Harry talked to you about Vice-captaincy after he all but blew me off?"
In reply, Katie turned around to look at Alicia with a mock-sad expression on her face. "Oh, I'm sorry babe, did Harry really treat you so badly?" she asked Alicia with obvious fake sympathy in her voice. "But why did he do that? When we talked about it, Harry was very eager to hear me out. In fact, my ideas impressed him so much that he offered me the position on the spot."
Enjoying the way Alicia's face was turning increasingly red by her words, Katie continued, tapping her index finger on her lips. "Hmmm. Now that I think about it, maybe the reason Harry chose me so quickly is because he realized how much better I am than you. Or how much more I am ready to offer him in comparison," she added with a wink.
By the time Katie finished, Alicia's face was a furious shade of red as she realized she had been thoroughly beaten by her friend. "You fucking slut! How the hell did you convince Harry?! Did you make a move on him? Is that why he offered you the position? Tell me," she yelled in anger, throwing a pillow at Katie's face.
In reply, Katie laughed loudly, easily managing to catch the fluffy object thrown at her. "You're just angry that you didn't think to suck his cock first, Alicia," she retorted, not denying the other girl's accusation. "Now be a good girl and accept your defeat, okay? Don't be a sore loser."
"You sucked his cock?!" Alicia asked Katie in a shocked voice. However, she soon recovered, shaking her head to clear her thoughts. "That...that is blatant cheating, Katie. We didn't agree that we could do this. So, rather than playing fair and square, you decided to use your dirty, whorish tricks to convince Harry, and that is not right at all."
Despite Alicia's loud grumblings, Katie didn't care one whit about what her friend was saying. Instead, she was happily basking in the feeling of sweet, sweet victory.
"Blah, blah, blah. You can say whatever you want, Alicia. It still doesn't change the fact that I've won. And you've lost," Katie replied calmly after a moment, getting into her bed.
Alicia gritted her teeth in anger as she realized that despite everything, Katie was right. Furious at being defeated so easily, she glared at her friend across the room, "Ugh! This is not over, Katie, you bitch. Don't think for a second I'm going to let you win so easily."
Katie, however, wasn't bothered by Alicia's threat. She just smirked back at her friend. "You can do whatever you want, Alicia, but I don't think Harry's going to change his mind now. I'm afraid that the train has already left the station."
Cursing violently under her breath, Alicia turned away from Katie, refusing to look at her. She pulled her blanket over her head, and whispered to herself, "Oh, yeah? Well, we'll see about that."

The next evening, Harry was sitting with Ron and Hermione in the common room, watching as his friends played a game of chess. As it had become normal over the years, Ron was absolutely destroying his opponent, demonstrating once again that there was no one better on the chessboard.
Leaning back in his chair, Harry watched as Ron's white pieces cornered Hermione's king, forcing her to admit defeat. Ron, grinning from his victory, looked at Harry slyly and asked, "Would you like to have a go, mate? Maybe today is your lucky day."
In reply, Harry simply shook his head. "Nah, I think I'm okay, Ron. Unlike Hermione here, I know when to give something up."
His words caused Ron to chuckle, while Hermione gave him a disappointed look. "That's not a good attitude, Harry. You should never give up." She huffed, "I just need to keep practicing. And you'll see; I'll defeat Ron someday."
At her words, Ron patted Hermione on the head. "Yeah, yeah, keep dreaming, Hermione," he said to her with a patronizing smile, before turning around to survey the common room for his next opponent.
Harry chuckled under his breath as Hermione threw a glare at the back of Ron's head, annoyed by him messing up her already bushy brown hair. However, his amusement soon disappeared as he noticed his fellow Gryffindor Alicia Spinnet coming down the stairs of the girls' dormitory.
As she reached the landing, the tall, blonde-haired girl looked around the crowded common room, searching for someone. Her gaze then landed on Harry. Immediately, her sky-blue eyes narrowed slightly, and she began making her way towards him and the group.
Harry could feel himself breaking into a cold sweat as Alicia quickly crossed the common room, pushing people aside roughly in her path toward him. As she came to a stop in front of him, Harry knew he was completely fucked. Clearly, the older girl had somehow discovered that he had already offered the Vice-captaincy job to Katie without talking to her first. So, acknowledging there was no way he could get out of this now, Harry did the only thing he could do at the moment - he prayed, 'Oh Merlin, someone please save me; I am so dead.' Harry repeated the mantra inside his head as Alicia stared down at him with a dangerous look in her eyes.
Finally, after a few seconds of tense silence, Alicia spoke, "Harry, can we talk somewhere private?" She asked him with a raised eyebrow.
In response, Harry gulped audibly as he slowly got to his feet, "Yeah, sure, Alicia. We can go up to my dormitory if you want," he answered her, ready to face the music.
Alicia nodded back in reply, gesturing for him to lead the way. Harry waved goodbye to his friends as he led Alicia up the stairs leading to the boys' dormitory. Glancing over his shoulder, he could see Hermione giving them curious looks, while Ron was too busy in his chess match with Neville.
Not seeing how any of them could help him out at the moment, Harry reluctantly began making his way up the stairs to the fifth-year boys' dormitory, with Alicia following right behind him.
As the two of them arrived at their destination, Harry opened the door to the boys' dormitory and stepped inside, Alicia following right behind him. The older girl immediately began to look around the empty room to make sure there was no one else there besides the two of them. Once satisfied, she closed the door behind her, causing Harry to become even more nervous than before.
Fearing that she was going to curse him for his stupid actions, Harry decided to apologize to Alicia first. "Look, Alicia," he began in a soft voice. "I know that you're upset with me, but trust me, there's no point in doing anything rash."
In response, Alicia tilted her head to the side. "What do you think I'm going to do, Harry?"
Harry ran a hand through his hair in a nervous fashion. "Are you not here to curse me?"
Rather than confirming Harry's suspicions, Alicia continued to stare at him with a bemused expression on her face. "But why would I do that?" she asked him politely.
This time, it was Harry's turn to blink in confusion. "Well, aren't you upset with me because I gave the Vice-captain position to Katie without talking to you first?"
Alicia gave Harry a nod in reply. "I am indeed upset, Harry," she told him seriously. "But not with you. It wasn't your fault after all."
"Not my fault," Harry murmured to himself in disbelief before asking Alicia in a louder voice, "Well, whose fault was it then?"
"Katie's, obviously," Alicia answered simply, "She fooled you into doing what she wanted and then made you think it was all your idea."
Harry was taken aback by the blonde's words, not understanding what she saying. "How do you mean, Alicia?"
"Well, Katie sucked your cock, didn't she?" answered Alicia in a brutally honest manner. "Why do you think she did that? She wanted you to think with your dick, Harry. She knew that once she made you cum, she would have you following her around like a lost puppy, eager for more."

Harry nodded, finally seeing the complete picture now. He gave Alicia a curious look and looked her in the eyes, asking, "So, is that why you asked to speak with me alone? You wanted to warn me?"
