🕑 Added 2024-12-29 03:42:57 +0000 UTCHey, folks! Sorry but there's no update tonight, my schedule took a weird turn this month, and not because of Christmas. But I'll have that story for all of you soon, and a whole new written story to boot.
A friend of mine co-authored this entire book that I started writing, before she got in on it. Really cool stuff. But her name is Nora and she took something small I was working on and together we made a literal chapter book that's going to be one in an entire series. It's really cool, and it's her first debut. I can't wait to see what you guys think.
But that should come tomorrow, hopefully. That's my intention at least. Once that's out, I'm going to need a little over a week for the next Batson chapter, and then I can probably do one more in January instead. So my schedule got moved around, but this means bigger, cooler things in the very near future.
I'm going to still keep pretending I can make a schedule though, it at least keeps me focused on projects and gives you guys an idea of what I'm working on. I just need to figure out a better way to phrase it. IDK... Worries for another day.
But I am sorry I don't have anything for you all tonight. Don't expect anything sooner than this time tomorrow, but I will do my best to finalize this story with Nora.

Jeroen, you are absolutely right. It's one reason I always wish to emphasize that this is not me selling my work, it goes free. This is just about supporting the creation of it. I don't think I'll ever figure out how to accurately schedule things. I tried creating a small backlog and I hated it, so I just give things as they arrive. But I don't know how to plan it better than I currently am. When I give a date, I'm confident in that date at the time. But then I sometimes get thrown a curveball. I made a whole post about it above this one. When that happens, I try to communicate. Creativity is a chaotic thing, at least for me. I'm sorry I'm like this, I'm terrible at the business aspect of this stuff. I just like making it. I wish someone else could handle this side of it for me. But I would rather disappoint people with a delay than with the quality.

You said you hoped to drop it "tomorrow" ten days ago too. This is not me rushing you, but don't you think it's a good idea to not give time frames that precise unless you're absolutely certain you will be able to make them? That will both save you a lot of anxiety and the people following you a lot of checking Patreon only to be disappointed.

Yes, gosh, I'm sorry. I forget not everyone checks my Discord at times. It's definitely the easiest way to follow me for news and updates. I try to keep this mostly content, but I'll make a post about it soon. I'm hoping I can drop it tomorrow.
