Where have I been? & TMI Time

I’ve been meaning to post since Monday but just haven’t had the wherewithal to do so.
First things first, this past weekend the last of my grandparents, Grandma Betty, passed. If you wish to send condolences, please direct them to my mother Roxi, who both lives with me and is a fellow member of this Patreon community. It was somewhat expected. Grandma was 90 and suffering from increasing complications from dementia.
Then. Over the weekend my husband made his first call into work for not feeling well. On Monday I both awoke with a tickle in my throat and also drove him in to our local clinic - basically to get a doctor’s note that he shouldn’t be going in to work in his condition and also to test for the flu. He popped positive for influenza A. Some of you may recall that he’s a paramedic, so he gets his flu shot every season, but he is exposed to so many cases of it that he inevitably winds of catching some variant or mutation every so often. Bad news is that means it’s usually a pretty strong version.
Good news is his symptoms have been worse than mine. If you can call that good news. It’s mostly restricted itself to a bad chest cold/respiratory infection. More bad news is you don’t just hit pregnant ladies with a bunch of meds to break up congestion and everything. At least not until it’s gone on for a week or so. Which means that I have lost my voice due to tearing up my throat from all the coughing. I’ve just been trying to sleep as much as possible. So i literally didn’t leave my bedroom until this morning, when i had some OB appointments I didn’t want to miss, all things considered. Besides being sick at the moment, all things are going well and baby is healthy. And more good news would be that baby will now have obtained immunities to the flu. So all is not for naught.
I’m still in bed. I still don’t have my voice back. But, I am mildly on the upswing. Hope to take the weekend to get over it and then be done with it.

Thank you. We are doing much better here. My husband has gone back to work. My voice is still recovering from the chest cold/flu and I still have a cough, but I'm getting back to normal. I can tell you one thing: I haven't slept this much in ages.

This is a very belated comment because I don't think I saw the notification for this post, so I was just coming to your Patreon to see if I'd missed an update. Idk if Roxi will see this, but I'm very sorry to hear about your mom's passing 😞 Just because a loved one is elderly and it's "expected" doesn't necessarily make the grief easier to handle. I think I could probably be 90 myself and I'd still not feel quite ready to lose my mom. I'll be praying for your family and I wish you all the best during this time ❤️ Very sorry to hear about the sickness as well, I hope you're both doing much better by this point. I can only imagine how miserable and possibly worrying it would be to have to deal with that during your third trimester 😬 Take all the time you need away, focusing on your health and well-being comes first and foremost ❤️ You can't plan for the things life throws at you, and Patreon will still be here once you feel up to making videos again.
