It's Sunday and it's time to review the events of the past week!
[1] MAPPING FOLLOW-UP
Pauslboro, Mygotopia
This week I finished the Paulsboro mapping 🥳 So v0.5 of Mygotopia is ready to be published. The sooner you get it later today, the later tomorrow night 🙂
Arlandis, Grand Utopia
As I finished Mygotopia a bit ahead of schedule, I was able to work a bit more on Grand Utopia and not just fix the reported bugs.
So I was able to finish the renovation of the valley of the quarry of Pérignat that I started during the last version of GU. You will find at the bottom of this valley the brand new village of Arlandis. The latter has a supermarket to deliver. Also, the quarry of Pérignat becomes the quarry of Arlandis because it is much closer to this village now.
I took the time this morning to open my game to capture several images of this new little town.
Rivenchy, Grand Utopia
I was also able to continue improving the old areas of the map with, this time, modifications made on the Rivenchy side.
Nothing spectacular, I warn you. This is not a complete rework. I mainly modified the low resolution buildings and textures that I had placed. The most obvious one will be the church in Rivenchy which I replaced with a brand new model.
You will also find several photos in the gallery of this post.
Finally, I added a viewpoint and activated the hidden routes present in this area.
Junction between the D5 and the D6, Grand Utopia
I also quickly improved this section of road that I found really horrible and that, personally, put me off going through this part of the map. The changes are small but enough to avoid the impression of travelling on an old map 😅
Depending on how much time I have today, I may make some small changes to the existing stretch of the D6. And if not, that's for next time!
Fond de la Baie logistics park in Rivière-Sens, Grand Utopia
While fixing the bugs, I tried to optimize a little more this large activity zone which gathers about ten companies and VTC. So I added several Cut Planes. I noticed a gain of a few FPS in game, that's already a gain!
[2] CORRECTIONS TO BE MADE ON THE PARADISE ROAD
One person reported the presence of grass in a few places on the Paradise Road of Grand Utopia.
For those of you who don't know, the SCS editor was not designed to map at such a height, so as soon as I get above 700m, the editor has great difficulty displaying vegetation. And as far as the grass is concerned, it just doesn't show up anymore. Here is a small picture so that you can visualise better.
All this to say that I'm going to need your help to correct these grass errors on the road because I really need photos or the precise coordinates of the locations I need to correct.
So if you're ever in the area in the next few days, think of me! 😄
[3] WEBSITE UPDATE
Just a quick note, I've updated the website about the lists of VTC and custom companies. It has been a while since it was done.
[4] CHOICE OF THE LOGO FOR CONTINENTAL RAILROADS
This week you had the opportunity to use your patron-only voting power to select which logo will be used for Continental Railroads, the latest custom company created for Mygotopia, in this poll.
And without appeal, it is version 1 that you preferred! The logo was therefore put on the company's trailers and buildings 😃

Nous sommes dimanche et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !
[1] POINT MAPPING
Pauslboro, Mygotopia
Cette semaine, j'ai fini le mapping de Paulsboro 🥳 La v0.5 de Mygotopia est donc prête à être publiée. Au plus tôt, vous l'aurez dans la journée et au plus tard, demain soir 🙂
Arlandis, Grand Utopia
Comme j'ai fini Mygotopia avec un peu d'avance sur mon planning, j'ai pu travailler un peu plus sur Grand Utopia et ainsi, ne pas simplement me contenter de corriger les bugs rapportés.
J'ai donc pu finir la rénovation de la vallée de la carrière de Pérignat que j'ai entamé lors de la dernière version de GU. Vous retrouverez donc au fond de cette vallée le tout nouveau village d'Arlandis. Ce dernier possède un supermarché à livrer. Aussi, la carrière de Pérignat devient la carrière d'Arlandis car beaucoup plus proche de ce village à présent.
J'ai pris le temps ce matin d'ouvrir mon jeu pour vous capturer plusieurs images de cette nouvelle petite bourgade.
Rivenchy, Grand Utopia
J'ai aussi pu poursuivre l'amélioration des vieilles zones de la map avec, cette fois-ci, des modifications effectuées du côté de Rivenchy.
Rien de spectaculaire, je vous préviens. Il ne s'agit d'un rework complet. J'ai principalement modifier les bâtiments et textures en basse résolution que j'avais posé. Le plus flagrant sera l'église de Rivenchy que j'ai remplacé par un tout nouveau modèle.

Enfin, j'ai ajouté un point de vue et j'ai activé les routes cachées présentes dans cette zone.
Liaision entre la D5 et la D6, Grand Utopia
J'ai également rapidement améliorer cette portion de route que je trouvais vraiment horrible et qui, personnellement, me rebutait à passer par cet endroit de la map. Les modifications sont légères mais suffisantes pour ne plus avoir l'impression de voyager sur une vieille map 😅
En fonction du temps dont je disposerai aujourd'hui, il est possible que je fasse quelques petites modifications au niveau de la portion de la D6 existante. Et sinon, ce sera pour la prochaine fois !
Parc logistique du Fond de la Baie à Rivière-Sens, Grand Utopia
Lors de la correction des bugs, j'ai tenté d'optimiser un peu plus cette grande zone d'activité qui regroupe une dizaine d'entreprises et de VTC. J'ai donc ajouté plusieurs Cut Planes. J'ai remarqué un gain de quelques FPS en jeu, c'est déjà ça de gagner !
[2] CORRECTIONS À EFFECTUER SUR LA ROUTE DU PARADIS
Une personne à effectuer un rapport pour signaler la présence d'herbe à quelques endroits sur la Route du Paradis de Grand Utopia.
Pour ceux qui l'ignorent, l'éditeur de SCS n'a pas été prévu pour mapper à une telle hauteur et, par conséquent, dès que je dépasse les 700 m d'altitude, l'éditeur affichent très difficilement la végétation. Et en ce qui concerne l'herbe, elle ne s'affiche simplement plus. Voilà une petite photo pour que vous puissiez mieux visualiser.
Tout ça pour dire que je vais avoir besoin de votre aide pour corriger ces erreurs d'herbes sur la route car il me faut impérativement des photos ou les coordonnées précises des localisations que je dois corriger.
Donc, si jamais vous passer par là dans les prochains jours, pensez à moi ! 😄

Petite info au passage, j'ai mis à jour le site internet concernant les listes de VTC et d'entreprises custom. Cela faisait un moment que cela n'avait pas été fait.

I don't plan a rework there. But I'll will add several secondary roads to link the Paradise Road with other parts of the map 🙂
