It's Sunday and it's time to review the events of the past week!
[1] Mapping follow-up
That's it! The mapping of Port-Méli is finally finished 🥳 I only have a few details to see and a few little bugs to fix. I am however very pleased to announce that the Akokan Island addon will be available in a few days.
I will also try to create an official video trailer for this addon that I can later integrate into the Akokan Island presentation page on the website.
I'd like to take advantage of the imminent release of this addon to remind you that, as it is quite vast (unlike Patrons Island), it will be released in several versions. For v1.0, I have limited myself to the construction of the only "developed" city on the island, namely Port-Méli. I will devote the following versions of this addon to the construction of the isolated villages which will be linked together by more or less difficult dirt roads.
I'm so excited to let you take your first rides there! You will of course be notified of its availability via a dedicated post on the Patreon 😉
As a reminder, the Akokan Island addon is one of the small exclusive mods you can unlock if you are an Archipelago Adventurer or Globetrotter member.
[2] Mygotopia takeover
As soon as I release the Akokan Island addon, I can resume the creation of Mygotopia. As mentioned in the previous weekly report, the next version of this addon will include the towns of Foxhaven, Paulsboro and Two Rivers. I can't wait to see this part of our beautiful utopia expand 😄
[3] Vintage posters
Last week, I told you about the vintage posters of utopian cities that I had the idea to create. I had a test poster printed and received it this week and I'm pretty happy with the result. I need to redo the borders a bit as they weren't perfect 😅
I have given little thought to what to do with these posters. Ideally, I would like to offer them for purchase via the website. I'll have to find out about the different ways I can set this up. I think it would be nice to give utopians the possibility to have real posters of their favourite towns and villages at home!
But first I need to continue creating all the posters and this will take some time as there are currently 74 towns and villages throughout Utopia (including GU, MG and AK).
[4] 1:1 maps connection
This is a great new feature that appeared this week via a new topic on the SCS Software forum. Bricksathome has created a mod to make several 1:1 scale maps compatible. For the moment, it would be possible to connect Grand Utopia to Pomezania and the FSG Map.
I'll let you browse his topic to read his explanations. You will also find links to download his mod.
To give you a quick explanation, the connection of several maps is possible via its mod because it has simply :
∟ repositioned the FSG Map on different sectors than Grand Utopia (Pomezania was already on different sectors).
∟ created ferry and rail connections between GU, FSG and Pomezania.

Nous sommes dimanche et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !
[1] Suivi mapping
Ça y est ! Le mapping de Port-Méli est enfin terminé 🥳 Il ne me reste que quelques détails à voir et quelques petits bugs a corriger. J'ai toutefois le grand plaisir de vous annoncer que l'addon Akokan Island sera disponible d'ici quelques jours.
Je vais également essayer de créer un trailer vidéo officiel pour cet addon que je pourrai par la suite intégrer à la page de présentation d'Akokan Island sur le site internet.
Je profite de la sortie imminente de cet addon pour vous rappeler que, ce dernier étant assez vaste (contrairement à Patrons Island), il sera publié en plusieurs versions. Pour la v1.0, je me suis limité à la construction de la seule ville "développée" de l'île, à savoir Port-Méli. Je consacrerai les versions suivantes de cet addon à la construction des villages isolés qui seront reliées entre-eux par des chemins de terre plus ou moins difficiles.
J'ai tellement hâte de vous laisser faire vos premiers tours de roues là-bas ! Vous serez bien évidemment averti de sa disponibilité via un post dédié sur le Patreon 😉
Pour rappel, l'addon Akokan Island fait partie des petits mods exclusifs que vous pouvez débloquer si vous êtes un membre Archipelago Adventurer ou Globetrotter.
[2] Reprise de Mygotopia
Dès que j'aurai publié l'addon Akokan Island, je pourrai reprendre la création de Mygotopia. Comme indiqué dans le précédent rapport hebdomadaire, la prochaine version de cet addon inclura les villes de Foxhaven, Paulsboro et Two Rivers. Je suis impatient de voir s'étendre cette partie de notre belle utopie 😄
[3] Posters rétros
La semaine dernière, je vous parlais de posters rétros de villes utopiennes que j'avais eu l'idée de créer. J'ai fait imprimer un poster test que j'ai reçu cette semaine et je suis plutôt satisfait du résultat. Il faut que je reprenne un peu les bordures car elles n'étaient pas parfaites 😅
J'ai eu peu réfléchi à quoi faire de ces posters. Dans l'idéal, j'aimerai les proposer à l'achat via le site internet. Il faudra que je me renseigne sur les différents moyens à ma disposition pour mettre cela en place. Je pense que cela pourrait être sympas de donner aux utopiens la possibilité d'avoir chez eux de vraies affiches de leurs villes et villages préférés !
Mais avant tout, il faut que je continue la création de tous les posters et cela va prendre un certain temps car il y a actuellement 74 villes et villages à travers toute l'utopie (en incluant GU, MG et AK).
[4] Connexions de maps 1:1
C'est une grande nouveauté apparue cette semaine via un nouveau topic sur le forum de SCS Software. Bricksathome a créé un mod permettant de rendre compatible plusieurs maps à l'échelle 1:1. Pour l'heure, il serait donc possible de connecter Grand Utopia à Pomezania et à la FSG Map.
Je vous laisse parcourir son topic pour prendre connaissance de ses explications. Vous y trouverez également des liens pour télécharger son mod.
Pour vous donner une explication rapide, la connexion de plusieurs cartes est possible via son mod car il a simplement :
∟ repositionné la FSG Map sur des secteurs différents de ceux de Grand Utopia (Pomezania était déjà sur des secteurs différents).
∟ créé des connexions ferry et ferroviaires entre GU, FSG et Pomezania.

FSG and Pomezania being compatible is HUGE! What great news! I am sure this will be a great thing for 1:1 scale maps popularity!
