It's Sunday and it's time to review the events of the past week!

This week, our Patreon community has reached a new symbolic threshold. You are more than 100 patrons who support me in the design of my map mods and I thank you from the bottom of my heart. It gives me great pleasure to see this community grow over time. I'm so looking forward to offering you even more content for ETS 2 and, I hope one day not too far away, for ATS.

[2] Mapping follow-up
This week, I made good progress on the development of the Island of Akokan. As a reminder, this expansion for Grand Utopia will be an addon that will be exclusively available to Archipelago Adventurer and Globetrotter members.
The town of Port-MĂ©li is taking shape more and more. It's always satisfying to see the outlines of a city appear, to finally see the viewpoints that will be present along the roads. I'm really looking forward to making the first version available to you!
I was also able to start creating a first dirt road that will take you to the heart of the island, in the middle of the famous wilderness. The choice of the road model was complicated because SCS Software unfortunately did not create dirt prefabs for all types of roads. So I have to mix the different styles available to me in the editor but I think I have found a good compromise that will not affect the immersion in this new territory.
[3] Headquarters of the Patreon Family & Co.
Our VTC, which has been present on Grand Utopia for several versions now, did not have a headquarters. This affront has been corrected with the construction of a new headquarters on Akokan Island. You can now find it on the heights of Port-MĂ©li, brand new! On the plot, you will have a garage, a workshop and a petrol pump. Finally, there is also a warehouse for the storage of our goods.
[4] New customised company for GU
On the Grand Utopia side, I have also added a brand new company that will replace the SCS Kaarfor company. Mammouth was a real brand in France until the end of the 1990s before it was bought by Auchan. I have modernised the logo somewhat to give it a fresh look.
All Kaarfor shops were therefore replaced by Mammoth shops, throughout the island of Grand Utopia.
[5] Manual for the SCS editor
As former patrons already know, I have an ambitious project to write a user manual for the SCS Software map editor. I hesitated for a long time about the form of this manual. In the end, I decided to create a kind of Wiki available online, which I will create via the Notion platform. In the end, there will be a French and an English version. Some of the first sheets are already available if you want to have a look. As the manual is completed, each sheet will be linked to a video tutorial on my YouTube channel.
Finally, I also have in mind to put at the disposal of all the people willing to learn to map, a place to exchange and help each other. I was thinking of creating a dedicated space on the Grand Utopia Discord.
This manual will work for both the ETS 2 editor and the ATS editor, which are identical in all aspects.

Nous sommes dimanche et il est l'heure de passer en revue les événements de cette semaine passée !

Cette semaine, notre communautĂ© Patreon a atteint un nouveau seuil symbolique. Vous ĂȘtes plus de 100 patrons Ă me soutenir dans la conception de mes map mods et je vous en remercie du fond du cĆur. Cela me fait Ă©normĂ©ment plaisir de voir cette communautĂ© grandir au fil du temps. J'ai tellement hĂąte de pouvoir vous offrir encore plus de contenu pour ETS 2 et, j'espĂšre un jour pas trop lointain, pour ATS.

[2] Suivi mapping
Cette semaine, j'ai bien avancĂ© sur la conception de l'Ăle d'Akokan. Pour rappel, cette extension pour Grand Utopia sera un addon qui sera rĂ©servĂ© de façon exclusive aux membres Archipelago Adventurer et Globetrotter.
La ville de Port-Méli se dessine de plus en plus. C'est toujours satisfaisant de voir apparaßtre les contours d'une cité, d'enfin visualiser les points de vue qui seront présents le long des routes. J'ai vraiment hùte de vous mettre à disposition la premiÚre version !
J'ai Ă©galement pu commencer la crĂ©ation d'une premiĂšre route en terre qui permettra de se rendre au cĆur de l'Ăle, au milieu de cette fameuse nature sauvage et abondante. Le choix du modĂšle de routes a Ă©tĂ© compliquĂ© car SCS Software n'a malheureusement pas crĂ©Ă© des prĂ©fabs en terre pour tous les types de chemins. Je dois donc mixer les diffĂ©rents styles Ă ma disposition dans l'Ă©diteur mais je pense avoir trouvĂ© un bon compromis qui n'affectera aucunement lâimmersion dans ce nouveau territoire.
[3] Quartier général de la Patreon Family & Co.
Notre VTC, prĂ©sente sur Grand Utopia depuis quelques versions dĂ©jĂ , ne disposait cependant pas d'un quartier gĂ©nĂ©ral. Cet affront a Ă©tĂ© corrigĂ© avec la construction d'un nouveau siĂšge social sur l'Ăle d'Akokan. Vous pourrez donc le retrouver sur les hauteurs de Port-MĂ©li, flambant neuf ! Sur la parcelle, vous disposerez d'un garage, d'un atelier, d'une pompe Ă essence. Enfin, un dĂ©pĂŽt est Ă©galement prĂ©sent pour le stockage de nos marchandises.
[4] Nouvelle entreprise customisée pour GU
Du cĂŽtĂ© de Grand Utopia, j'ai Ă©galement ajoutĂ© une toute nouvelle entreprise qui viendra en remplacement de l'entreprise SCS Kaarfor. Mammouth Ă©tait une enseigne rĂ©elle prĂ©sente en France jusqu'Ă la fin des annĂ©es 1990 avant d'ĂȘtre rachetĂ©e par Auchan. J'ai quelque peu modernisĂ© le logo pour lui donner un coup de jeune.
L'ensemble des magasins Kaarfor a donc été remplacé par des magasins Mammouth, à travers toute l'ßle de Grand Utopia.
[5] Manuel pour l'Ă©diteur de SCS
Les anciens patrons le savent dĂ©jĂ , j'ai pour projet ambitieux de rĂ©diger un manuel d'utilisation pour l'Ă©diteur de carte de SCS Software. J'ai longtemps hĂ©sitĂ© sur le forme de ce manuel. Finalement, j'ai optĂ© pour la crĂ©ation d'une sorte de Wiki disponible en ligne que je crĂ©erai via la plateforme Notion. Ă terme, il existera une version française et une version anglaise. Quelques premiĂšres fiches sont dores-et-dĂ©jĂ disponibles si vous souhaitez jeter un Ćil. Au fil du remplissage de ce manuel, chaque fiche sera accompagnĂ©e d'un tutoriel vidĂ©o sur ma chaĂźne YouTube.
Enfin, j'ai également dans l'idée de mettre à la disposition de toutes les personnes désireuses d'apprendre à mapper, un lieu pour échanger et s'aider mutuellement. Je pensais notamment à la création d'un espace dédié sur le Discord de Grand Utopia.
Ce manuel fonctionnera pour l'Ă©diteur d'ETS 2 et pour celui d'ATS, ces derniers Ă©tant identiques en tous points
