The Doctor Who Podcast - Episode 1
🕑 Added 2017-05-19 22:24:50 +0000 UTC Here's the first in a 2(?) part series where I run down EVERY episode of Doctor Who starting with 2005's relaunch. Starts with a bit of an introduction into the show so if you've never seen Doctor Who you can still follow on! Enjoy!- Dan

Coming back to this after the Chibnall era when Dan has gone back to Series 4 and really likes it now is good character development

I totally disagree with midnight on everything but especially the rewatchability of it. That is almost definitely my most rewatched episode because i love the mystery behind it and the tenseness and every time i go back i relive it all again

I understand how you feel about series 8+ but I love Capaldi and some of the stories are pretty good. It's truly a shame we couldn't get what Capaldi truly could've offered.

Omg my memory and timeline of doctor who as a kid is so backwards and weird?
I think it'd be cool if instead of focusing on a single show, he talked about different shows and what works for TV scripts and stuff
Mike Jones
Seems he's put the split where I stopped watching because I thought it went a bit rubbish. But that was quite a nice trip down memory lane.
I loved Doctor Who so much... That was until we had Emoji Robots as our villains. Urgh.

Actually Class was written by a 45 year old man, my favourite author haha
Matthew Doney
That was a great listen. I'm excited for part two. Series 5 is my favorite as well.
Was anybody else hoping that in the outro, Dan would jump in and start going "OOOOH WHEE OOOOH"
This was very cool please do more!
Love this! Any chance of a Sherlock edition?

My mum doesn't like river song.
Jacob Hardy
I was listening to this whilst playing Elite dangerous and the end music came on just as I was jumping from one sector to another and it matched so perfectly I had the biggest of nerdgasms.
TheShyBiGuy
I agree and disagree with you on bits of this. My least favorite doctor is Matt Smith, I thought he was too silly, and a lot of episodes you said you didn't like I did. But I think that's what's great about doctor who, people can still disagree but all love the same programme.

Cool

One thing I did like about Boom Town was the sletheen said that the doctor doesn't care about the consiquesces of his action, next episode shows a distopia caused by the doctor wipeing out the news
leigh hammersley
the word is buffalo

I would add Spearhead from Space (first episode in coulour, with John pertwee, and of seires 7) is a good jumping on point for old who

Darythe Hill
That ending was perfect

What is your favorite Score for Doctor Who? Mine is Capaldi's Rock one.
Diane Frank
Fascinating to hear rational thoughts on all the episodes of Ten that I missed. Anyway, I imprinted on Nine, but that first series of Eleven is indeed a great one.
I never thought i watched alot of dr who, but listening to this made me realise i watched about 5 more episodes than i thought
George Farren
Definitely not spoiler free but a good listen.
Shawn Lindsay
In Smith and Jones the Judoon platoon upon the moon line was their just because David Tennant had trouble saying those sounds in his English accent
