TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE (50th Anniversary)
🕑 Added 2024-08-24 18:27:22 +0000 UTCI went and saw the film at the iconic Texas Theater. It's one of my favorite theaters in town. My date and I had so much fun. I don't think he was expecting the film to be as intense as it was. What an extraordinary experience on the big screen. You could feel the audience growing more and more uneasy silently as the film went on. Then a big release of tension right when the screen goes black. If you are able to catch a screening near you for the anniversary, I highly recommend it. Our theater was completely packed with people. A proper movie experience.

I can only imagine the rush of excitement to see this movie in its true glory (and gory) on the big screen! How fun!!!

I always laugh when Leatherface whacks the guy on the head when he stumbles into the house.

I bet those eery photograph clicks in the first moment are crazy in a theater sound system. All of the sounds in that film are so intricate.

a lot of people giggled in the theater. THere's a lot of humor in it.

You should review it once every few years just to troll people.

I know itβs a classic, but I giggle a lot while watching Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Does that mean Iβm a serial killer? π³π€£

lol...I've warmed to this same feeling

I would imagine that last act with Sally screaming must be insane with proper sound

That sounds incredible. It's not playing at my nearest theatres sadly but they are screening Rear Window for its 70th anniversary tomorrow on the 25th and again the 28th. I gotta go see that.

Saw it at the 100 year old belcourt theater in Nashville earlier this year at midnight. You could hear a piece of popcorn drop after it went black before the crowd erupted. Prolly the biggest mic drop moment Iβve ever experienced in a theaterβ¦50 years later too!

I like to have BBQ ribs after seeing that movie. Good meal to have after watching a family of cannibals.
