Must be part of his humor, but still weird. The Italian names in the movie are real names and he makes fun of them with an American accent. Or maybe he sometimes just doesn't give a fuck about being 100% correct, as long as it sounds good to him. It's his own fantasy world in Inglorious Bastards after all.

I do tech support and hardware testing full time and I had a "Michael Moore" email us for tech support but it wasn't the famed documentarian. I did have one celebrity that emailed us, the author Corey Doctorow.😊

Did she give you any lip?🤣😉

Hmm. Well, maybe she feels Mia is a kindred spirit. Not sure what that says about her, haha.

I always figured part of that was his humor and style. But yes, he loves words...so he seemed to pick ones that were very musical in delivery.

hahaha I used to keep post-it notes on my wall at my old job, with lists of all the crazy names I came across. I have some really funny ones. But I still have those post-it notes. Because they were too good to throw away once I left.

lol...you're welcome. I get all the free pizza perks. :D

She looked older than me, so no.

At least Tarantino's English character names are natural and nice-sounding. Those of the other languages sound too stupid at times (e.g. Lapadite -> no French guy was ever named like that. Sounds so invented. Landa too, at least for a German officer.). Many others are actually more nordic ones, instead of German (e.g. Hellstrom, von Hammersmark. Bridget... ugh. Should be Brigitte. Bardot didn't anglicized her name either.)
Jim Barnes
Was she young enough to have been named after the movie?

I would assume it was a fake name to give some delivery person a hoot -- which it did!

I want pizza now. Not because I think you’d deliver it, I’m just hungry. Thanks for helping me decide dinner. This was important to share.

I never served a customer named after a cool movie character. Did serve someone named Richard Rash though. He was a good guy all things considered. Never came off as a Dick. That would’ve been greatly irritating.

I kid you not a few weeks ago after Dave Chappelle was in the news I immediately had a new client at work named “Dave Chappelle Jr.”

When I worked in retail years ago, I met a woman with red hair and a perfectly slim figure. You wouldn't guess that she was almost 70 years old. I would call her Ann Margaret.

I deliver delinquency notices for a bank as my side hustle. End up meeting all sorts all over the county doing it. Yet to get any Tarantino characters unfortunately. Not a single Cliff Booth or Jackie Brown. Shame.
