If you've seen any of the teasers then, I'm sure you can understand my reasons. But...maybe I should review maybe the first episode or two? Have you guys seen the trailer? What are your thoughts?

Fair Enough. That actor played Bushmaster is season 2 of Luke Cage and I thought he was excellent in that role and felt he has the acting chops to pull off a good Jet too, we shall see I guess. After seeing the trailer earlier today I am quietly optimistic about the show.

I think the actor who plays spike is all wrong. He's too serious and tense, like an action hero. Spike is chill, and there's a humor to his aloofness.

I'm gonna give it a chance, I doubt it will get the noir or jazz right even having Yoko Kanno working on the music. But it does have Tank! as the intro song still and I don't have an issue with the casting of Jet or Spike, I am dubious about the actress playing Faye but I will give her a chance to win me over. I think there is a big opportunity to have a space noir show as there is nothing else out there like it and even if it has just a couple of episodes that hit the mark it will be worth while.

Also mixed feelings, one of my top Anime. I’ve heard from other fans that they are exciting from the trailers. I saw the Mad Pierrot clown, which is one of my fav eps. They interviewed the creator and he said he tried to provide some feedback when they asked, but he said he does not think they listened.

Good thing I've never watched the show. I don't want any more rage over butchering something I love anytime so soon after Disney did it constantly.

I'm a fan of the original series as well. I saw the trailer and it looks like an abortion. Honestly, I would rather hear your review of the original series before this new live action series.

Super mixed tbh. I don't mind that their kind of leaning into a Rodriguez-esque style to compensate for the lack of animation. But the writing is such dog shit. I think it'll be a hallow impersonation of a much greater series. I am gonna give it an episode or two to give it a chance and at least have an informed opinion but yeah, not hopeful.
