What is most interesting to me are their Instagram accounts. Social media tells you everything. Clearly those accounts are being used still every single day. Comments disabled, adding followers, etc.. But how? And where? I have this weird thing about cases where people disappear. But this one is one of the more strange ones I've seen in a while.

Oh yeah, the whole thing is fishy. The social media strangeness of it all is part of what makes it compelling. And also...it's a very 2021 case.

I assume they had problems before. I wonder why they thought going on a road trip and staying together in close quarters for days on end was a good idea.

The last missing persons story I got hung up on was that of Lisanne Froon and Kris Kremers, the two Dutch girls who went hiking in the Panamanian jungle and were never seen again.

Last I heard was the fiancé’s been reported missing by his family and some woman has claimed that she picked him up hitchhiking alone near Grand Teton—Gabby’s last known location—on Aug. 29, four days after her last IG post. Other than the bodycam footage of them fighting, I don’t know of any evidence of foul play, though it really doesn’t look good when you refuse to cooperate with investigators.
