Though I will say, after it was over we literally got out a chessboard and chess pieces to map out visually some of the concepts and how they either make logistical sense or do not. I feel as though Nolan would be pleased to know that. Whether he should or not, is the real debate.

Also, I thought your review was very fair and balanced. Nolan seems to be one of these directors nowadays that seems very polarizing and I think it has to due largely to the people who like his films vs those who do not. Nolan has what many would say is a "filmbro" base and these folks tend to be within a certain nebula within the cinephile universe and the more "artsy" (for lack of a better word) cinephiles disdain the filmbros, viewing their tastes to be immature or shallow. I think it's unfair so I appreciate that you approached the film fairly - especially since I know you were not happy with him for his belief to release the film during the pandemic.

Just watched your review. I think you are right when you mention that there is so much exposition that it makes it difficult to 'fall' into the ride Nolan is taking you to be able to enjoy - at least on first viewing. I found that the film was much more enjoyable on the 2nd viewing bc you've gotten all of that out of the way with the first viewing.

I've barely seen any new movies this year. And honestly, I rarely do anyway, so it's not much of an adjustment. Without question, I'm Thinking of Ending Things was the crowning achievement for film this year. I am working on my review for TENET currently. Hopefully will be up either today or tomorrow.

Will you be doing a review video? Tenet is definitely one of the lesser Nolan films. 2020 has been a pretty lackluster year overall. What are some films, if any, that you really enjoyed this year?

WE started the pandemic. We let the lockdowns happen. WE started the bullshit BLM protests over false information. Yet, somehow the best news that is happened because of it is that Hollywood has been shut down. Hooray! 😂😊🙏🏻

Oh and when you mentioned chessboard, it remind me of "The Queen's Gambit" - a very good Netflix show. It's off the topic but I recommend it.
