I just watched The Wicker Man (1973). The ending just brings a smile to my face. It was very rewarding to watch for the first time.

My absolute favorite horror films are: The Haunting, Fright Night, The Thing, The Collector, Alien, Conjuring, The Changeling (1980), and Black Christmas. These deliver EVERY single time!! Would love to see you review any one of these!

I'm thinking about rewatching The Haunting. The original not the terrible remake. So many underrated actors like Julie Harris and Claire Bloom in one of the greatest psychological character studies I've ever seen.

A Tale of Two Sisters - Korean horror film with some unnerving suspense and ghostly imagery. Plays with fairy tale tropes and haunted houses. I've only seen it once but is a film that definitely can be watched multiple times to grasp the themes and meanings

Yeah the Friday the 13th series isn't the greatest, some of them are hilariously bad but there are a few okay ones. Also yes I've heard good things about the Elm Street sequels.

I like to mix it up and watch a whole spectrum of horror. Me and my friends usually start with the very shocky/schlocky genre films early in the month, films like One Cut of The Dead, House/Hausu, Scanners, and Reanimator

Hocus Pocus because it glorifies pedophilia and Adrenochrome. Rewatch it!! Also, Pinocchio is really a film about child-trafficking. This was the pre-cursor to Epstein and Weinstein.

Yeah same for me. Though if you want hardcore schlock as in, direct to video terrible horror from the 1980s, you gotta get high as shit and watch The Killing Spree. It's life changing.

I'll have to look into that one. Definitely know of it, but not much else. I haven't seen any new horror films from this year. But in recent years I was a big fan of It Follows, The Babadook, The Witch, Raw, the list goes on. That's just off the top of my head.

Good choice. I personally was never much of a fan of Friday the 13th. Nightmare on Elm Street for me had a lot more style to it, if I recall.

Since my taste tends to steer towards arthouse horror I tend to try to watch a popular horror film series where I haven't seen most if not all of the movies. The past couple years I've done Halloween and Friday the 13th, this year I think I'm going to do the Nightmare on Elm Street series.

Not the most Halloween-y horror film, but every year around this time I revisit The Innocents. One of the most perfect horror films ever made, with two of the best child performances ever put on screen. Still gets under my skin after seeing it at least half a dozen times.

I've been meaning to go back and watch more schlocky slashers like Friday the 13th, Sleepaway Camp and Slumber Party Massacre and Halloween seems like the perfect time to indulge that morbid interest. If you guys have any similar recommendations, I'm all ears.
