I'll go with the Land Before Time series into live action in similarity to Lion King; but offcourse better and original faithful.

Off the top of my head a remake of They Live by Boots Riley would be interesting. I could see a lot of the themes he explored in Sorry To Bother You being revisited with that kind of story.

I dig this question, I'd either say Chopping Mall or The Monster Squad. With The Monster Squad nothing could beat the original, but there's definitely potential in a story that sees a bunch of desensitized kids rolling their eyes at the threat of a bunch of old-school classic monsters. With Chopping Mall it would be cool to see a remake that takes the kill-bot idea and mall setting and really goes for the gore.

This is a great question! The first things that came to my mind were movies that I wanted un-remade. I'd say Ivan's Childhood (1962) because I think it should be brought into 21st century conflicts. It would be more of a reimagining that should be directed by someone who's experienced the destruction that the American military has wrought in the Middle East since 9/11. I want something that shows a more nuanced view of the conflicts in the Middle East than what we get from Hollywood.

Honestly, I would love to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles get rebooted and be much more based on the earlier darker Mirage Comics, less humor and more violence and a darker tone. Batman VS Ninja Turtles is close to that, somewhat.

Stagecoach Helmed by either the Coen's or Taylor Sheridan sounds like a great opportunity to take a new crack at a classic western tale with a new all-star cast and a different perspective. Maybe not necessary but I see a lot of potential in remaking a classic western with talent behind and in front of the camera and give it a different spin today.

Time after time. Im not good at explaining things, but thiers so many ways you can go bringing a real life villian into modern day and commenting on it. Someone wayyyy smarter then me can take this concept further lol

Hereditary. Eject the supernatural elements completely and focus on the psychological trauma. Keep the first half of the movie exactly the same and make the later half more about the mother and maybe the son just losing it under the weight of the guilt of killing the daughter. Maybe explore the mother's sleepwalking habits which almost killed her son even more.
