Character design notes plus bonus behind the scenes sketches
🕑 Added 2023-01-23 18:03:13 +0000 UTCI got an ask on tumblr about character design and I wanted to share it here! But since y’all are patrons I added some exclusive sketches at the end just for y’all!
1. Concept art for the map of Delirium City. I always planned for the government buildings and hatchery to be connected like that but this was my first time sketching it out
2. Concept art of Rune in a dress! (And a scribble on her leg, lol) the story was originally going to open with Rune doing espionage at a party but I scrapped that storyline. Also I would probably give her a different dress in the future
3. Concept art of The President and Melody. I changed the Pres a bit because I thought he looked way too young here, like an emo teen. I aged him up and nerfed his horns. The small straight ones he has now are much more aligned with his personality. The sketch of Melody is from before I designed her outfit/halo. I used to just sketch her in whatever outfit with whatever halo I was feeling, trying to see if something stuck
The comic is coming back soon but sadly I don’t have an estimated return date yet! Also if y’all want me to make tutorials on something else, just ask 🥳🙌
