Adventure progress
🕑 Added 2021-03-21 22:27:49 +0000 UTCI've been working hard this month on exploring adventure/scene imports, and looking at some options. You can see in the above animation the early results of an adventure importing into Foundry using the Adventure Importer/Exporter module.
The route taken will involve a standalone application, like foundry, which will talk to DDB and download and build the adventure/source book. It will take an index configuration file generated by ddb-importer to link items, spells and monsters.
I have a number of things to do to get this into a state that can be consumed by others, but I hope to have an Alpha tech preview release out next month for those who feel up to trying something that probably won't work right.
Happy adventuring!

It might be like 3 button presses.... :) But should be pretty easy :D
With the ease of one button? Because I had to sub to another Patreon for importing modules, but I find your stuff is much easier to use.
MrPrimate
Yup
So will this munch adventures like we do monsters and what not?
MrPrimate
So the Adventure Import/Export module already exists, I'm just going to be generating a package for it to use!

This would also offer others to build full campaigns and then allow them to be distributed?

Gosh! That's impressive!
Colin Davis
Holy moly - this is amazing. Can’t wait!

Honestly, I like this just for the Journal imports. Having this stuff available and linked is such a big deal. Having scenes is a nice bonus, but being able to drag and drop, room descriptions from journal entries is a godsend to running an adventure quickly.

Yes, please!
I am blown away your amazing work.
Amazing work!

Adventure import from DDB is seriously exciting news!
Yes! I just got Foundry less than a month ago, and have been loving your import module. Getting proper Adventure integration was the best D&D news I've had since my group said they're ready to resume playing!

Well, I didn't see that one coming. Congrats on the upcoming release. I guess the race is on :P

Absolutely wonderful!
Looking forward to this! You are doing some awesome work over here MrPrimate. :-)
I’ll test. I’m a software developer by trade 😘

This made my whole month. Importing with monsters would be a huge QoL improvement over the current status quo. I’ve got quite a lot of source books and would be happy to test this out once it’s alpha :)

This would make me actually buy adventures
