SEPT UPDATE 1/2 KOISHI PROJECT
🕑 Added 2024-09-15 09:10:42 +0000 UTCHi everybody! Welcome to the first September update! Koishi Project has been picking up steam again and the final segment is now being worked on.
So currently there are 7 acts segemented. I skipped Act 6 for now because it was very storyboard intensive, so I put that on the side in the meantime to work on Act7 as the ideas I had in it were more concise and easier to execute.
Ideally the release will be now in late-November. However that date is not set, that's just something I'm aiming for.
Here is the storyboard draft version of segment 6
Segment 7:
Segment 7 is the finale and where Koishi finally confronts a grown up Sanae after years of not seeing her. The background of the bus stop is now slightly overgrown due to years of neglect. Koishi comes back into the story after battling her dream self and fully embracing becoming an unconcious being.
Koishi fazbear jumpscare revealing her unconcious interntions in stabbing the fuck out of you ow owowowow
Koishi's all bubbly and happy here but something is off with her messy hair and hat gone. Looks like she just woke up from a long long afternoon nap.
Final stitched up eye reveal. The stitched up eye reveal is supposed to symbolize Koishi finally sealing off her conciousness and becoming and unconcious monster. The reveal was originally supposed to come earlier at the end of segment 6.
Also Sanae's a well employed well dressed woman. I wanted to put her in a suit to show she's all grown up. I know traditionally she's in japanese high school girl clothes so please tell me if this is a change you guys like.
Background changes:
Background art and file management. You can see here that the layout is seperated by the foreground, midground and background for the animation.
Well this is the Koishi Project this month. Thank you all for you support again! This segment will be finished next month with backgrounds included!!
With the end of the chapter of IWBTWR, more time will be put into the Koishi project this month and the beginning of next month.
I also have been getting into Deadlock lol
See you all in the next update!

For some 2-month late feedback on Sanae in a suit, I think it fits perfectly in the lore of Touhou! Since Sanae originally lived in the Outside World, I see the grown-up Sanae in this animation as a Sanae who either JUST entered Gensokyo or is on the verge of doing so. It adds a layer of darkness to her otherwise pretty positive backstory, which I find very cool and interesting

This is turning out so well! your characters are so expressive and the backgrounds look really good. I like the sanae suit design, could be cool if you found a way to incorporate her froggy pin somehow. cant wait to see everything once its all put together <ʘ3
