AUG UPDATE 1/2 KOISHI PROJECT PART ONE
🕑 Added 2024-08-20 14:05:34 +0000 UTCHi everybody! Welcome to the first August update! To start off the week, I have Covid lmao. So I'm going to be kinda weak. But on the good news is that the Koishi Porject has a lot to show today!
Most of the Koishi Project which was previewed in the storyboard 5 years ago is now almost finished! That means that there are only two segments remaining
Here we see Koishi doing an anticipation shot of her about to stab her eye. I fixed the camera to be a lot more seemless inthe transition compared to how it was before.
Also added more stresslines around her eyes? I still think that's not impactful enough. I'm going to add some tears and see if it looks better.
All of the eyes in the background will close when Koishi hits her vocal pitch
Everything becomes fuzzy and distorted, like your conciousness is drifting away.
Lighting adjusted for Koishi's breakdown. I'm also currently reflecting on how I add lighting on characters.
Currently I'm directly adding the lighting through a CSP layer mask function. This is impractical as I have to go through each indiviual animation file and have the right lighting color for all of them.
Koishi here for the first couple of frames floats using a keyframe function in CSP. So instead of her being animated manually floating through the scene, she's automatically tanform tooled into the animation instead.
Ideally there would be a hybrid of this method, where the original draft was keyframed to pinpoint positions, and then with traditional animation manually animated on top of it. However this was incredbily time consuming and I didn't follow through with it in the end.
The green glow lights up both of the Koishis highlights.
I'm kinda happy with this? The black and the green do go together nicely with a white out background. However I also wanted a stain glass effect when she stabs her as well so I'm kinda conflicted on that as well.
Well this is the Koishi Project this month. Thank you all for you support again!
See you all in the next update!
