JULY UPDATE 1/3 KOISHI PROJECT PART ONE
🕑 Added 2024-07-15 15:40:47 +0000 UTCHihi welcome to the first July update! Out of three??!! Woahg
Currently the end of segment 4 is being animated, but segment 5 is now starting! Only segment 6 and 7 left on the list and I'm really really excited because I feel like I can now see the light at the end of the tunnel for this project.
Segment 5 consists of Koishi relinquishing the power of her third eye and blinding herself so that she can be free of the mind reading ability she uses. She wants to stop being a monster because she harmed people from being one. By finally killing off her third eye, she'll be able to escape her torment.
<version 2>
So right now I'm trying to have Koishi act out and show that she actually really hates the monster that she's become. Scaring the kid away was the final straw and that she's actually going to sow up her third eye now.
The issue right now is the camera placement when she lashes out and pulls out the needle. I'm going to have to do a few more tests in how she moves in this scene and decide if the camera actually follows her or not.
I was also thinking about the camera moving with her from the bottom of the screen when she pulls out the needle to stab herself.
Background
These are the reffernces me and my background artist is using for the massive climax during the koishi arguing with herself scene. We want to make it really grand and surreal, have massive "other" koishis towering over her, taunting Koishi. With lots of eyes looking down at her.
Draft progress on the background
Background refinement
Issues
Koishi will have to have a change in appeance after she stabs her eye out. Currently I do not know what I looks like and I will need to experiment with some concepts on how she will end up afterwards when she's lobotomized.
Storyboards also have to be different as they're not as polished in the later half. Gonna need to put in some extra work later on so that the project can end on schedule. ugh. please.
Anyways, this is not it so far for the Koishi Project. There will be another update this month for the Koishi Project as a lot it currently has been dedicated to IWBTWR instead, so more progress will be shown later on as I will have more time to work on it this coming two weeks!
I hope that the current shots I've shown in this update will be cleaned up and presentable really soon. I also hope the background will have more progress to it later on this month! I've dedicated a lot of time for this specific background and scene because it's the most important shot in the entire animation.
I also hope that there will be a rough of it soon! If I don't burn out XOOOOO
See you all in the next update!
