HF Patch for VR Kanojo v1.1 (mods up to 2021/07/22)
🕑 Added 2021-01-24 18:08:28 +0000 UTCAn unofficial patch for VR Kanojo with all free updates, fully modeled uncensors and essential mods. This patch is meant for the original Steam version of the game from 2018. It does not work on the new version of the game released in 2025.

HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game and expansions separately. You can buy the game on Steam.
The base game (VR Kanojo), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.
Downloads
This download contains the entire HF Patch and can be used offline. Pick one of the mirrors to download from. If you have issues, try a different mirror. Old patch versions are available in direct download links.
Read before installing
If the game locks up on a white screen, try setting a different female uncensor. Press F1 to open plugin settings (only visible on desktop, not in VR) and look for uncensor settings. Restart the game after changing to one of the simple uncensors.
Before installing the patch it's best to verify local files on Steam to make sure the game is fully up to date and not corrupted. To do so, find the game in the library, then go to Properties > Local files > Verify. If you have issues, uninstall the
If the patch asks for a disk or shows a verification error after starting the install - Patch files are corrupted or missing, redownload the patch from a different mirror and/or with a different web browser.
If you are having issues starting the game or the game seems to softlock (can't progress, there are no "keep looking at" points or the point doesn't work) - Browse the game files and remove everything other than the UserData\save folder, then verify game files on steam, and finally reinstall the latest VRK HF Patch.
If the patched game stops working after an update, simply install the patch again.
If the default install path of the patch doesn't work (if for example you moved your Steam library to a different folder), you have to point the patch to where the game is installed. If you are not sure where to look: Find the game in the library, then go to Properties > Local files > Browse and point the patch to the folder than opens (it should have VR Kanojo.exe in it).
Press F1 for plugin settings (only visible on desktop, not in HMD), hover over setting names to see their descriptions.
This patch makes it possible to play the game without a VR headset, but expect it to be a janky experience (camera doesn't center and you can't touch, but it should be possible to finish the game). Playing with an HMD is a much better experience. You still need to have SteamVR for the game to run.

No you only need to install the game then the patch. If you already installed the unlock it doesn't matter. You have to look at different things to get different options.

Hey Manly! Sorry to be a pain in the ass. Regarding VRK, is it necessary to install the Steam 18+ from Illusion? If so, I assume I would install it before the HF Patch. Can't seem to get anything past "kissing" option. Additionally, do I launch VRK from the mod .exe or from Steam? Appreciate the help.

I just tried to download the HF patch from the direct download links on your patreon. It seems that only the .exe file is there & the rest of the files are missing. Please pardon my inexperience with computers but am I missing something?

Did you leave default settings when installing the patch? Try restarting your pc and reinstalling the patch, if that doesn't help then try moving the game to a directory like "D:\VRK"

when i hit f1 while in vr i see the menu on the pc screen, but there are no options in uncensor

I think so? When I bought the game at the time, the Steam version wasn't available for purchase. Like, it was on the Steam page, but it couldn't be purchased. I don't know why, but in any event I can't find any reliable videos or guides, and subtitles during the bath stuff just aren't present. The entire mod suite for VR Kanojo would have been great, but...well, I was going somewhere with this and I forgot where.

Not at the moment, since I couldn't buy it when I tried, and as far as I know most mods would need to be fixed to work in that version.

Is there any chance of making a version of this that will run on the Illusion store version of the game? And especially something to add subtitles to the bathtub scenes?

The patch is only tested with the steam version of the game and I expect it to not work at all with the original Japanese release. I couldn't get the Japanese version to test with since it seems to only be available on illusion store and not on DMM or other stores.

Does it only work for the steamversion? I bought it through the illusion store and some folders and the .exe had different names. After some fiddeling it at least tries to start, however resulting in an indefinite loading screen :/

No, just install the patch normally, it will figure itself out. You can verify local files on steam just to be safe if you want.
