HF Patch for AI v2.5 (mods up to 2021/01/04)
🕑 Added 2021-01-07 22:59:20 +0000 UTCAn unofficial patch for AI that installs the latest fan-made English translations and essential mods. It also fixes many common issues with the game.
It will allow you to load all character cards and scenes and give you countless content creation and gameplay improvements while still keeping the original, uncluttered feel of the game. All content is tested and fixed (or removed) as needed before each update, providing a stable platform for further modding.
AI-Shoujo and AI-Syoujyo can be split into two parts: character and scene creation tools (character maker and Studio), and an adventure game with story mode (it can use your custom characters, but not scenes).
HF Patch does not contain the full game, paid expansions or any other pirated content. You have to buy the game separately on Steam or on DMM. Check this guide on how to download and install from DMM.
The base game (AI-Shoujo / AI-Syoujyo), and by extension this patch are not suitable for minors. If you are under 18 years old you can not use this patch. The base game and this patch contain only characters of age 18 or higher. The creator of this patch is not responsible for creations of its users and prohibits any unlawful use of this software.

This download contains the entire HF Patch and can be used offline. You have to use a torrent client to open the magnet link (qBittorrent is recommended, only use one link).

Read before installing
Before installing check this installation guide and FAQ. It was made for the Steam release but most of it applies to the Japanese release as well.
If you need any help, check the wiki, visit the Illusion Soft Discord server and ask in the #ai-help channel, or ask in comments under this post. The #ai-help channel is the fastest way to get help, you can even search it for your issue to see if someone already answered it. There are also chat and card sharing channels on the server!
To keep the download size reasonable, some of the less used mods are not included (mostly studio-only mods). To download them you can use the KKManager mod updater - run it at the end of HF Patch or from the game's launcher.

Solutions to common issues
- If you get a "This patch is inside of the game directory" or "Path too long" error, move the patch files to a folder like "D:\HFP\" and try again.
- If you get a "Different game is detected" error, make sure this is the correct patch for your game. AI in the title means that this patch is for AI-Syoujyo and AI-Shoujo.
- If after installing the patch you have issues running the game, restart your PC and try to install the patch again with default settings.
- If after installing the patch Studio hangs when loading, start KKManager (it's in a folder in game directory) and click "Look for updates" at the top, then tell it to update the Studio modpack.
- If you have trouble downloading by using the magnet link, try updating your torrent client or use the latest qBittorrent (it's known to work well).
- Make sure you downloaded ALL parts to the same folder and that the parts all have the same name. You need ALL parts for the patch to work. If the installer asks you for another disc it means that your download was not extracted correctly and is missing files, or you renamed or removed some of the extracted files.
- If you see any messages about corrupted files you'll have to re-download the offending part (or all of the parts). If you downloaded the torrent, most torrent clients can "force recheck" the downloaded files so you don't have to re-download the whole thing.
- If your antivirus is flagging the .exe file make sure that you've downloaded the patch by following links in this post. If you are sure the download came from the right place, it's most likely a false positive (it's a common issue with non-signed application installers).

Just started playing AI and have the latest HF patch. Starting to notice huge drops in frames and the game gets laggy af at times. Tried everything from setting to the lowest graphic settings, removing a lot of placed items, and reducing my 1440p down to 1080. Nothing works. I isolated the cause down to the girls a.i. in the open world. When they are running around doing their chores is the only time it happens. I noticed the patch has a lot of tools that *could* potentially help with this. I'm wondering, has this issue ever come up and is there anything in HF that could help?

Do you mean that some girls are randomly given the amputee uncensor? That shouldn't happen. Try changing defaults in plugin settings (inside game settings), look for uncensor selector. There you can change defaults and blacklist some uncensors.
Scourge of the evil
In this patch one of the options in the uncensor default has amputee arms. How do I remove this from the patch?

Just install the new patch on top of what you have now, you don't have to do anything special.

I have hf 2.4, do I need to reinstall the game (steam) for the upgrade to 2.5? Or is there a way to just update the game (ive been updating all my mods always)

The items might be from paid DLC that's not included in the patch.

I was able to solve this by copying my old housing files from the abdata folder on my old PC - hope this can be fixed so everyone can enjoy the Japanese items! :)

I recently installed on a new PC with 2.5 only, and now I'm missing some items from Housing (the tatami and Japanese themed items) - are they with another patch and can I get them separately somehow?

Just install the patch again, this time tell it to remove all mods and plugin settings. If you want to turn off mods then remove the winhttp.dll file from game directory.
How to uninstall patch? i will try reinstall
