FULL WATCHALONG ~ FLETCH
🕑 Added 2024-11-27 06:26:09 +0000 UTCFletch (1985) is the ultimate Chevy Chase comedy vehicle, where his trademark deadpan delivery and quick wit turn a simple investigation into a rollercoaster of disguises, one-liners, and pure chaos. Chase stars as Irwin "Fletch" Fletcher, an investigative journalist with a knack for stumbling into trouble and talking his way out of it. When a shady businessman offers him a suspicious deal to fake his own death, Fletch dives into a tangled web of crime, corruption, and hilariously bad disguises—including a tennis pro, a doctor, and whatever "Dr. Rosenpenis" was supposed to be.
The movie thrives on Chase’s ability to throw out quips faster than the plot can keep up. Whether he’s bluffing his way into restricted areas or delivering some of the most absurdly memorable aliases in comedy history, Fletch’s charm is undeniable. And sure, the mystery might not be groundbreaking, but let’s face it—you’re here for the sarcasm, not the sleuthing.
Fletch is as much about Chase’s comedic mastery as it is about unraveling conspiracies. By the time he’s quipping his way out of danger for the hundredth time, you’ll almost wish you were being extorted just to hang out with him. It’s sharp, it’s silly, and it’s the kind of film where you’ll find yourself quoting lines long after the credits roll—especially if you happen to know any Dr. Rosenpenises.
