FULL WATCHALONG ~ JAWS

Directed by Steven Spielberg, the film follows a small-town sheriff, a marine biologist, and a grizzled fisherman as they hunt down a massive great white shark terrorizing the beaches of Amity Island. What sets **Jaws** apart isn’t just the shark attacks—though they’re terrifying—but the masterful suspense that Spielberg builds by keeping the beast mostly unseen, letting your imagination do the work. Of course, when the shark finally does appear, it’s more than worth the wait, even if the special effects might feel a bit dated now. The movie’s blend of tension, character-driven drama, and that unforgettable score by John Williams turned **Jaws** into a pop culture phenomenon and the blueprint for the modern blockbuster. It's a film that still has people nervously checking the water before taking a dip, proving that sometimes, what you don’t see is scarier than what you do.

There was a European director who made a monster film with out showing the monster. I've heard that speilberg had a lot of problems with the mechanical shark. He would of been better off not showing the shark
