Trying out a Compact Android version

Following feedback over version 0.16, and advice from Fyo on F95 Zone, I've built and uploaded a "Compact" version of version 0.16.1 for Android, that you can get from the release post.
This version has more compressed pictures. It went from 1.9GB to 500MB and, more importantly, should greatly improve Android issues, but reducing the impact on memory.
As compensation, the pictures quality may be a bit lower in-game.
I'd love if you could try it out and give me feedback, both on performance and quality. If the results are convincing, I may keep using these settings for future versions.

On my phone the compact version feels smudged and out of focus.

Agree. The compact versions make the images feel out of focus on HQ phones. So please make two different versions for Android in the future.

This could well be the most stupid question in the history of mankind but ... here goes. Will MC ever get to pork Ashley and Tara? The answer could lead to the exposure of a spoiler of course, in which case, I would expect you to refuse to answer the question or even to lie. Still. No harm in asking.

Finally it works on my new second hand phone. Smaller images was all it took. Thanks. I can notice the difference in the quality of the picture when I enlarge the image but I really don't care for that much. I can see that on my previous phone the enlarged pics had more resolution, but the difference is not so huge that it would take anything from the experience. Keep it up, please.

I had a problem when I finished downloading the Compact version. After the chapter vignette Christmas, I got a chat with Laura but after that it stopped and there was no further chat..

Version 0.17 will have a turn-based Combat system inspired by Baldur's Gate 3, with even more options!

Well, unlike the other Android version I can actually play this on my Samsung, so... 5 stars? :D I wouldn't have realized the pics were any different tbh. I mean, I'm playing on my phone, not on some HD monitor. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Compact version runs fine for me. It's clear the pictures have some lesser quality though, which was to be expected
