(11/22/2020) Delay and Progress

It's been longer than I wanted since the last update, in truth that's mostly due to my computer having some unexpected issues that took up most of my time this weekend. I starting upgrading some hardware in my ~6 year old computer and came into some issues where my OS (win 7) was no longer supported by my new motherboard and processor. So after many failed boots, errors, and installations, I've finally gotten my new machine to a stable state using Win 10. It took up the entirety of Friday evening and Saturday, so this took a big hit to my game development time.
Despite that I do have some progress to share. I finished developing a simple fishing minigame the player will be able to access after completing the main story in Tungsten. The player will be able to fish at certain spots all over the game world as I continue to work on the game. What fish you catch will have simple uses generally, like selling, turning into useful consumables, and things of that nature. However there are also ways which it can be used with events, a few of which I've already planned out.
My second bit of progress is something I can't go into much detail with lest I spoil some of the game's story. It's a more simple addition but will be used throughout the game fairly frequently, and is more of a narrative tool than anything else. I think a lot of you will enjoy it once you see it for yourself.
My goal of finishing this release in November is looking pretty weak at this point, but I'm going to continue working on it with that goal in mind nonetheless. The subject of any updates after this will probably be details on the new events I'm adding, so if you'd rather not be spoiled err on the side of caution when checking the patreon.

Thank you for the update! I'm really excited to play further into the story and try new features. Setting things up now to make later development easier is an investment in time I think we all endorse.
