As awful and traumatic that is, I think due to all the other trauma that's just happened, losing your love, your title, and you kinda family (the pride she made friends with) and then losing 2 cubs, she possibly 1) doesn't want to leave the two surviving cubs alone 2)debating about what she should do next, as she'll most likely be wanted by the empire (this is before she's made the decision to go to the pridelands) 3) she doesn't feel safe to leave the little den she's in yet..
