As the chanting grows the flames lick higher, hungry reaching for the stars which pierce the smoke billowing from combusting pyre.
This ancient site has been the final place of rest for many great warriors and mighty Jarl, and there will be yet many more who will start their journey across the rainbow bridge from these sacred rocks. The very trees that burn were grown on the ashes of those mighty heroes of old, and now help their kin in their final journey.
Woe betide any who are foolish enough to interrupt this sacred ritual.
