Water drips from the dank ceiling into the cloudy water below, each disturbance raising the troubling aroma contained within into the air. Thankfully you are not the first to visit these tunnels, hastily constructed bridges, now somehow even more rickety with wood rot, providing unsullied passage across the flowing muck and whatever strange creatures can survive beneath .
This series of platforms and crossings lead towards a central chamber, from which a distant chanting can be heard, confirming that these tunnels are no longer as unoccupied as originally intended.
Turning the corner reveals a congregation of forms gathered around a circle of lit candles and a series of etched lines. As the chanting grows, the lines begin to grow, rumbling with barely contained energy as something otherworldly shifts below them.
